There was load shedding and the emergency light did not work. A flask in the room would have been a good idea as there was load shedding agsin ftom 4 to 6:30 and we left early without coffee

They were not fully prepared for loadshedding or power outages. Some rooms did not have working battery powered lights nor candles/matches.

Great location just outside Beaufort West. Beautiful facilities!

Would like to stay longer

The piece and quiet and friendly host Food where very tasty and brought out to our room while we sat outside dinning and enjoy the beautiful and quiet farm atmosphere

This is our regular overnight stop and we were a bit dissappointed as the room was dusty and the bedding was stained. It needs some upgrading, but remains a nice place to stay.

Loved the farm and surroundings and the big old trees. The karoo tjoppies are to die for.

Breakfast was below standard. But it was a great stay with friendly staff.

Love the Rooms, pillows and beds, the wonderful garden outside seating and braai facilities. Lovely bathrooms. Great place to stay. The Farm absoluut fantastic.

We had a great stay! Our supper was left in our rooms to await our arrival. We enjoyed a short walk before dark. The next morning we did the full Porcupine Trail, seeing lots of great birds. Will happily visit again!

The dinner. The chicken pie was the worst I had ever eaten. The rice and mixed vegatables completely overcooked.

The setting is wonderful. A real oasis. Pretty and comfortable.

Cottage was freezing but the staff did provide a heater. Needs a little TLC but good for an overnight stay.

Not much to say here - maybe one tiny thing. This was a stopover for us on a long road trip and we ordered a braai pack and it was just meat and a braai broodjie - wed have liked a bit of salad included. We found out about this on the drive in and stopped at farm stalls on the way but none of them seemed to sell anything except meat and biscuits! Also, once you've cooked/eaten there is nowhere really to leave or wash your dirty plates - we stored them in the microwave. It was just a small thing really though.

Gorgeous location - and I loved the sign-posted walking trail - it was wonderful after a long drive to not only stretch our legs, but to learn more about the Karoo! It's lovely to visit a working farm where the natural environment is not only preserved but cherished. I have never spent much time in the Karoo and the landscape is very unique, and it was great to learn more about it and see the birds and signs of arid climate wildlife around us. Bought olives from the reception shop and we ate the whole jar immediately and bought more to take away - very delicious olives - definitely buy some there! We met some other friendly guests while braaiing and that added to the friendly feel of the place. The receptionist was a delight. I wish there hadn't been load shedding in the morning as I'd have liked to have tried the breakfast - the dining area looked very inviting.

Being dog friendly was a bonus As after 6 hours in the car they were free to Run Very friendly and helpful receptionist

Little way out of town not too far but there was load shedding as we got there so had to go all the way back to town.

Very tranquil place to stay, rooms were comfortable and clean. Was just one night but definitely stay again when passing through.
