Time well spent - had 3 of my adult children with me, and their partners - thoroughly enjoyed by all

There seem to be quite a number of insects - fortunately, you are provided with various sprays which is helpful. Suggestion - Maybe one could use Fendona or something along that line for a more permanent eradication of insects.

The setting was great, The fact that each room has its own shower and toilet - makes the time even more pleasurable. Close enough to wine farms and town - could even partake in the Parkrun in Robertson.

My mother use a wheelchair, maybe a more wheelchair room/bathroom and ramp. If we could be have a hour earlier to arrive and on a Sunday could depart later to enjoy the day even more.

Layout of the house with the verenda and swimming pool. We did the bride's reveal from one of the rooms on the verenda. Furniture outside great with the table and chairs .

Missing a washing machine and oven.

Beautiful, secluded location. Out of the tourist areas and in the fresh air. Spacious house with sprawling veranda. The boma was great for braai and fires at night.

Relaxing farm stay with the family

I would have liked an indoor/on the porch braai as well (there is just a fire pit, which was so great for the vibe), but it rained a bit during our stay and we had to plan around that.

The house is very private and the views from the porch was amazing! The pool was enclosed, with a gate, so we didn't have to worry about being on high alert with the kids at all times. You really felt like you could switch off and relax. We went on a few relaxing walks on the farm and drank many of bottle of wine on the porch :)

There is an open space between the pool and the house. If you make a misstep then you can seriously hurt yourself. We had to check and remind kids a lot to be careful.

location is perfect. Quiet evenings on the porch and a great boma. The rooms were equipped with drinking water and different types of insect reppellants - a great touch.

There is no Kol Kol bath but that was only a minor issue.

Wonderful, secluded and relaxing weekend breakaway with family or friends, in close proximity to the Robertson Valley wine farms. As a bonus we had a free olive oil tasting with Daniel, the farm manager who took us on tour of the boutique olive oil factory after which we had our very first olive oil tasting, straight from the tanks.

Heavily affected by load shedding - solar panels would have been a great addition. Cleaning would also have been a nice to have.

Unfortunately the weather was to blame here as a years rain fell in 2 days making the road impassable for a small car. There is a gate at the end of the farm road which closes at 6pm and it can be difficult to go in and out as there was only one remote between 4 cars. The single beds are very narrow for an adult

Lovely setting with a great outdoor space and small pool. The fireirepit- boma area is also a wonderful space for a braai. Comfy beds with great linen

Probably the pool not being heated, but that’s me being nit picky. And the 10km gravel road drive into the place. But it was so worth it.

It has EVERYTHING! You can tell a lot of effort was put into it.

The house is well equipped. The setting is beautiful with a great view from the stoep. We really enjoyed the Lapa. The two grannies in their 80's could walk easily in the house which all is on one level. We were a group of 6.

We would have liked a proper oven although Sandi was incredibly hospitable and made a plan for us to cook our Christmas lunch. I would suggest future visitors to arrive from the Robertson side as a much shorter drive on the gravel road.

The large wrap around balcony, the beautiful location, the lovely pool. We spent a lovely 4 days at Olive Hill. It’s a very comfortable house with plenty of room. We enjoyed walks and bike rides with the kids on the farm roads and spent a lot of time in the pool.

Honestly not much, besides the 10km+ dirt road to get there and the fact that we needed to ask for wood a few times, everything else was great.

The swimming pool was crystal clear and perfect to cool off and the fire pit was amazing for the late night chill sessions.

The braai facilities could have been better I may have missed the info, but would have been good to know there was no oven in the place - only a micro/combi but managed to make do This is a long shot but for the setting and time of year, it would have been amazing to have an inside fireplace as it was not comfortable with the wind to sit by the outside firepit

The setting was amazing and the house is lovely. We were a family of four travelling with two young boys and very comfortable...would have been equally as comfortable sharing with another young family
