I have stayed in alot of holiday chalets but i have never had the experience i had with Alan and Viv who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the guest are taken care off in every way possible.The place is excellent and well worth the cost. Will definitely be visiting again soon for sure.

The unit was clean and tidy. Beautiful views. Peaceful and relaxing. The beach was only a short walk away. The hosts Alan and Viv was very helpful and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The fishing was exceptional and managed to catch a few fish on our stay.

The South Coast has water shortages but South Sands has 7 water tanks!!! The community of Glenmore needs to address the water issue with the municipality as people and businesses are suffering without any water for awhile. Alan is a champ because he's always in contact with the councilors. Thank you Alan for being so accommodating, helpful and thoughtful 🙏

Clean, tranquil and beautiful 😍 the property was so comfortable and spacious. Alan and Viv put alot of love into this gem which is well equipped (even has a first aid kit). There's alot of stairs.... to trek luggage is a workout but once you're inside the property you'll forget about everything. Plenty of warm bedding, kitchen has everything (just needs an airfryer 😃) deck was my favorite place to just chill and do lots of whale spotting 🐋 Can't wait to come back again ♥️

For a very refreshing change to the norm, the place advertised looks much better in presence than the photos on the website! On the Beach @ South Sands. No.2 is an absolute gem of a place to stay and absolutely worth every cent! Proximity to the beach is fantastic! The thoughtfulness of Alan and Viv is exemplary and market-leading. South Sands No.2 has been thoroughly equipped with all catering requirements for everyday usage. It is definitely a 'home' away from home! @ South Sands No.2 is an absolute gem on the South Coast!

We had a lovely family holiday at On the Beach over Easter. Alan was very communicative throughout and shared detailed instructions for everything to make our stay as comfortable and safe as possible. The unit itself is very well equipped for a self-catered stay and has rechargeable lightbulbs and portable lamps for load shedding. The complex has its own private path down to the beach – it’s only a minute’s walk away. The area felt safe for runs and walks and the beach is pristine. There are many other tourist attractions in close proximity, including the Munster Classic Car Museum and the Red Desert. One thing to note – there’s a fair distance between the parking and the unit with many steps. This may be an issue for people with mobility issues. I highly recommend Alan’s place – we had a 5-star stay!

The steps from the car park to the unit (& to the beach) kept us fit! Anyone with the slightest mobility issues will not navigate the stairs as they are hectic. Carrying the luggage etc was not easy at all.

Clean, comfortable, great view, easy access to the beach & essentially home away from home with a beach😊 Completely safe with highly effective & efficient security measures. We really enjoyed the time & can recommend.

Place was perfect!

Everything was there to poykie pots, all types of cutlery and first aid bag. The list is endless. perfect view and perfect back up when there’s loadshedding. Will definitely go back!!!

Bottom room with single beds in was too crowded. The fridge and sleeper couch took up to much space.

We got more than what we expected and more, my advise to anyone planning to book in there must just bring food and drinks, Alan & Viv have every utensil u can think of in the house incl. the ice machine, Netflix and Wi-fi, I can go on and on. We really enjoyed our stay.

The driveway was a bit difficult to manage in the beginning and very tight for a larger vehicle. There were a lot of stairs to get to the unit but manageable unless its raining.

The distance from the beach was excellent. Hearing the waves crashing on the rocks was relaxing. Clean and neat and comfortable.

Agh load shedding and the horrible weather were the only complaints we had

Loved the friendly customer service from Alan and Viv who made us feel like family. Thank you guys for your attention to detail, your concern and preparedness for load shedding as well as the option for added accommodation during the floods that occurred in KZN almost leaving us stranded in the South Coast. We loved the cosy abode that you provided along with all the necessary amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to book with you guys again in the near future.

The place was exceptionally clean. Beautiful views with easy access to the beach. The rooms were neat and spacious. We absolutely loved that the hosts were so thoughtful towards guests.Alan was available via whasapp or phonecalls whenever we needed any additional information.Exceptional value for money and overall wonderful stay. Would take note that the stairway/ walk to the apartment is quite long and a little steep, so if you're traveling with the elderly, it may not be too easy however overall 10 out of 10 would recommend.

You need to be aware that if you wish to stay at this house, there are 85 steps down to the unit. Everything has to be moved up and down those steps, luggage, food, etc. For many, this will not be an issue, but disabled or elderly need to take note as it is not mentioned on Booking.com We were there in January, and it was hot and humid, AC would be a huge bonus that we would have been happy to pay more in the rental price to have, it would completely change the dynamic of the property.

Good location with excellent access to a lovely breach. Lovely views from the terrace and the lounge. TV was good with Netflix etc. There is plenty of usable kitchen equipment everything you would need and more is there. Excellent first aid kit, not used, but glad the owners had one available in a back pack so if needed on or around the beach it could be quickly picked up and first aid applied at the scene, great bit of safety equipment. Well done, Alan. Good shower upstairs. Value for money.
