No wood for making fire, for room heating. We didn't ask though.. A backup heater (gas or electric could be a possible quick backup).

Friendly and helpful communication. Clear directions and things to do. Clear accommodation communication. Peaceful, relaxing, privacy and natural environment. Luke warm pool (just felt the water, didn't plan to swim). Accodative. Neighbouring town-Clarens, restaurants and fun things to do.

Nothing much just a few suggestions to make the stay perfect . I would like to suggest that an iron and ironing board are provided for. I would also suggest that firewood is provided for in the chalet ( if a guest uses it ,they get charged).We arrived late afternoon and it was so cold and there was no firewood. We managed to get some the following day.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom chalet which looked beautiful and spanking new . Simple but stunning decor . The views are absolutely stunning. We could not leave this place entrancing this place was . We sincerely loved almost everything about this place . The tranquility and peacefulness was everything for us. The swimming pool so gorgeous ,will make sure to come back in summer

The farm is tranquil and spiritually uplifting. We enjoyed the walk, the sunset and ofcourse watching stars at night.

Just a tiny complaint. The bed was to short for me. An extra length mattress would have been much more comfortable. We prefer a shower. We will definitely stay at Oranje Guest farm again.

What a beautiful chalet. Everything seems brand new and very clean! The farm is situated in an area with breathtaking views and very close to Clarens. The ideal getaway! The staff is super accommodating, friendly and caters to your ever need! We loved every minute at Oranje Guest Farm and they will absolutely see us again.

Lovely place! Loved the rustic farm atmosphere! Zara the schnauzer was adorable! Would have loved to enjoy the pool, but as it is solar powered and it was a cloudy day, it couldn't happen. Accommodations was well beyond what l expected. Thanks for a lovely stay! Will be back for the chalets against the mountains.

The different accommodations than the ones in the pictures. No one cares to explain why we are staying in different rooms,than the ones we saw in the picture. Our rooms are congested. Kitchen in the same room as the bedroom. There's carpet which then makes the room smell bad. There's not enough ventilation. There is a stale smell. Like it's a place that's been closed for too long. The kitchen area is in closed cupboards. You struggle to cook as it's also a small space. The bathroom door opens outwardly, and you have to use force to open it.

Communication wasn't great. After booking, got a random WhatsApp with 2 PDFs without a message welcoming us or giving us context with what the PDFs were about. Initially thought it was spam till I downloaded and opened them. When we got there just after 2pm for check in we had to wait awhile for someone. She told us the room was used by someone else without letting us know before we arrived. She told us that the room is the same size and also includes a bath as per the room we booked. The room according to booking.com is smaller and there's no bath or TV as per our booking. We didn't appreciate not being told the truth, as we booked the original room for the bath. The evening I also WhatsApped the support number to ask if it's okay to get some more milk the next day for breakfast. They did send a lot of milk, which we are grateful for, but my message was read with no acknowledgement or response, so had no idea if we'd get or not.

The views and location. Great to have some fresh milk. The pool and pool room are out of this world. The cascading windows the fully open from the chalet to have a great view over the sheep, cows and pastures are top notch. Taking an evening walk on the farm was soul renewing.

In our room there is a see-through curtain at the main bed - 1st of all the outside light of the house next door shines directly like a spotlight into your eyes. No block out curtain or drop at that window to use. :-( Needless to say, not a lot of sleep possible, so you wake up tired and irritated. When you want to undress you need to go into the bathroom! Suggest they just add a block out curtain and all will be solved. The kitchen does not have any oven facilities, but we made a plan, could just not grill any food.

The location quietness and beauty of the Eastern Free State surroundings are really good! We enjoyed facilities - especially the indoor swimming pool and campsite bathroom facilities was a plus with young children! :-) AND OFF COURSE: 24 hours of power was really a huge plus! Thank you for that!

Toilet/shower extraction fan in our specific room was very noisy, bad odour from French drain or downpipes in bathroom, luckily not overwhelming and only in the bathroom. Extraction fan vent needs a cleaning. Food offered was tasty but not worth the value charged for the food.

Comfortable beds and nice kitchen unit in room, well kept grounds and beautiful views. Warm water, coffee and clean utensils available in room.

Possible small dining area. No soaps, hand creams or hand wash. These small things go a long way with attention to detail!

The pool was not warm. Maybe get a jungle gym for kids to keep them busy.
