The initial room had carpets and they had an old mouldy-smell. Given the fact that Magoebaskloof is mostly humid, misty and rainy, it probably would be best to remove all carpets for tiles. Breakfast was just okay, but could be better. it's a buffet but let patrons dish-up for themselves.

The staff was friendly and attentive. As soon as we asked for a room with a better view, they upgraded us instead. The views from the upgrade were unparalleled.

Barman needs training but friendly. Dinner the first night was disappointing so we did not dine there the following nights. Toilet seat needs to be fixed. Safe was locked and unusable so we did not bother reporting to reception. Hotel is a magic place but needs upgrading. Balcony furniture poor and gives a poor impression. Manager has no interaction with guests.

View excellent. Room was sparse but adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Staff overall were helpful and friendly. This hotel is a magic place and the pub is worth visiting. The walking trail nearby is a gem.

The furniture in the room had signs of wear and tear. Eg: the side lamp on the right of the bed was scaling, and one of the couches had water spill marks, one side lamp not working. The silver lamp at the corner is not working. The white bathroom towels had some dirt spots. There is an impression that attention to detail is not given to the rooms. I would urge the management of the hotel work on room 36.

The breakfast was excellent, complements to the chef. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Thanks to the security man for making sure I was assisted from the gate to the room. Stanford and Hlompho went all out to make sure the breakfast was pleasant. Great team work!

Towels and bedding had stains on them. There was no kettle in the room to make coffee. Room smelt moldy.

Very dated. Toilet seat filthy. Shower curtain filthy. Basin old, carpets lifting. The Doors creak and patio door does not lock properly. No coffee or water in the room. Bed uncomfortable and a tad too small

Very old and outdated, however clean. Some rooms seemed renovated but the room we stayed in had very old, worn carpets and shabby curtains. The bed base was broken and bed was hanging on the one side.

The Hotel needs to be maintained and refreshed. The condition of the hotel rooms is at a critical stage. Let me not talk about the beds and the carpets. It is really sad to see this hotel slipping down rating scales due to the clear lack of investment in upkeep form the owners

Soon the location and polite staff will be the only one good things to say about this hotel. The condition of thuer building and hotel rooms is fast deteriorating

We got delayed by an accident and our sms and calls were not answered by the hotel as such we got a horrible treatment on check in by the manager, (Delin) we were also assigned to the bad room.mouldy, smelly,and damp linen. It just added to our trauma of that day. Reception staff find it hard to be warm and friendly, they create a very unfriendly, cold, unwelcoming environment for the hotel

The view was to die for. The staff at the bar "Lwande", and dining hall were great professional and friendly. They made us feel at home. Highly welcoming and ready to assist.
