Quiet, in the bush, apart from the other units. Big enough, two bedrooms and private bathroom. Gas geysers and solar power in the unit (so no load shedding worries) . Private fire pit and braai (bbq) facilities. (We stayed in the "Comfort cabin")

A warm welcome by the host who provided info about all there is to know about the place. Great location, excellent ambience and quite serene👌Perfect for some quality time and need for recharge in and around nature😊🧘‍♀️ 💆‍♀️ No need to worry about load shedding, solar powered rooms and free wifi👍😎 If you like some hiking adventure, be sure to book one with Graeme and tour the Vredefort Dome, World heritage site. Gorgeous views and quite enlightening experience 👌 also some water activities in the Vaal river. Plenty to do😊 Overall, a perfect spot! Friendly and welcoming to guests. Highly recommended.

There is a short dirt road which can be traveled on in a normal car but you'll have to be careful in a very low vehicle.

It is a peaceful, secluded/ private and very clean fascility, with all the basic necessities. We loved our stay in Cormorant Cabin and would definitely recommend it without hesitation. The owners are lovely and allow you your space.

I liked that we could organise the rafting and hiking trip from Otters Haunt, very easy and professional. Lots of information about the surrounding area and dome history. The hosts knew a lot and explained it well. For those interested in the Vredefort Dome this certainly is a good place to start.

The dishes weren't so clean, the blankets had a bit of an offish odor and had to leave a day early because there was no hot water.

What a pleasant surprise when we arrived. This rustic unit feels totally private because of the surrounding nature. Sitting on the deck relaxing or having a braai by the boma just bring calmness to your holiday. The pool is clean and well kept. The shower is almost an "outside" shower, so having a shower and still see the stars and moon peeping through the door opening on top is a must. You can take a stroll down to the river and have a sundowner on the grass, while meeting the two super friendly border collies. Will definitely return

I love this location, it is so rustic and cosy! The owners are super friendly as well, and really want to help you make the most of your trip. There is a lot of space, so you don't hear any other visitors.

I went as a single mom with 2 boys 10 and 12, they had the best time on the river and the Canoe, I had the opportunity to have a little me time while they being boys on the river and having the best time ever. I will definitely recommend the place to all families. I was able to look at the beautiful river and have some reflection time and just have a wonderful relaxing time, without having to constantly worry about my boys. The hosts are so friendly and we cannot wait to go visit the place again. This will not be the last time we go and visit.

The host. I felt a bit of racism, hope it was just a bad impression. The lady even refused to shake my hand. The overall atmosphere was not pleasant. We finally decided to leave after one night, despite we paid for two.

The venue has many adventurous outdoor activities which would be perfect for children and adults who seek adventure. The owners of the venue have two beautiful border colleys which are extremely adorable. Myself and my partner rested very well at the venue.
