Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaThe rooms air conditioner was not working, however, the manager notified us in time and also reimbursed us for the inconvenience. There were not sufficient signs on the hiking trail. I would suggest adding signs as it becomes stressful with no direction to guide you. Especially where one enters the estate. The beach is not within walking distance.
The room was spacious and clean. The views are absolutely amazing. We received exceptional service from the shuttle driver, who also gave us guidance on the hiking trail. The hiking trail is a must, and the views are spectacular.

When I checked in staff at reception told me my booking is not paid. I then had to email them the payment confirmation. The place is amazing. It’s worth the price, from the spacious rooms to the delicious breakfast. My view was good from the 3rd floor and the bed was comfortable.

South AfricaAlthough the upgrade was lovely and not what we expected, the air-conditioning was not working. Some general maintenance and upkeep of the exterior of the building is in need.
How professional the operations manager, Tumelo, was in handling our situation. Our room had a door that would not lock from the outside and would only lock from the inside. We only found out on the night of our check-in, when we were going to go to the only restaurant at the hotel for dinner. After informing reception, the maintenance technician appeared at our room within minutes but unfortunately after almost an hour, he was unable to fix the problem. The only solution after asking to speak to the operations manager, Tumelo, was to move rooms. Tumelo was calm, understanding and apologetic. He listened to our grievances and in the end, we were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade we received - we moved into the penthouse suite.
