There were 3 busloads of school children running wild in the hotel. Hotel management did nothing to control these guests (kids) running up and down the hotel passages late at night and 4am in the morning. Their teachers were nowhere to be seen. Doors were slammed right through the night. Kids swam unsupervised at night in the pool with a boombox blasting music with no regard to the rest of the hotel guests 9pm/10pm. I asked Hotel Manager to contact me, still waiting.

Breakfast i paid for was not included in the deal.Breakfast does need serious attention the juice was some really vile tasting stuff.Hotel is slowly getting run down.Wi fi was terrible the TV in rooms should be upgraded and also remove those obsolete bath tubs.House keeping a bit lax.This hotel needs to get back to its former glory.

Used to stay there frequently on my business trips.Nice spacious rooms.Carpets removed now has decent flooring.Enough parking and easy to get to the central town.Awesome staff always willing to help.

Check in says 14:00 but they gave us the keys at 16:00 because they were still cleaning the rooms. When we finally got to our room the beds were not made, no toilette paper, towels or tea & coffee. There was no chair to sit on in the room. The air on, tv and outlet plugs weren’t working, so we had to wait another hour to get a new room. When we got to our new room the tv wasn’t working. When we said thank you to the lady working there she said, “no pleasure”. Very rude.

To be honest no complaints.

Location. Hotel was easy to find in central Oudtshoorn. Check in was very friendly and welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean with a nice view over the pool and gardens. Breakfast was standard and tasty served by friendly staff.

Tv didnt work, aircon didnt work, we didnt have pillows, didnt have enough towels for the 4 of us. Room was dirty. Bathtub was cracked. Hairdryer in bathroom fell apart. They wanted to charge us R150 per child for breakfast. We didnt even stay the full 2 nights we left the morning after out first night because it was that horrible. Asked for a refund as it was definitely not what we booked as per the photos on booking.com and they refused to give a refund.

The only thing good about this place was the location.

No towels in room at arrival. Other tenants in hotel noisy till late. No rules in place. Only heard that hotel is halaal when we arrived. No dinner or alcohol available. Door of room 221 could not lock. Maintenance not up to standard.

Checked in at 4. My room was smelling of smoke and had no bedding done. Got a room replaced after 45min wait but the bedding was still not done on arrival. At around 8am next morning while I was in bed the cleaning ladies opened my door and just entered. Took a bath because the shower was not working only to realise that there was no towels.

Our stay was during the KKNK Karoo festival and check in on Good Friday Long queues resulted in a stressful situation for the staff who could not cope. Our room did not have the facilities as per booking. Had to ask for towels. Only a shower and no bath as requested due to the chaos that followed after 300 school kids checked out the same day.

The room was spacious with pool view and beds provided a solid sleep. No traffic noise. The location great. Staff was very friendly and breakfast buffet good.. Will stay again as it is good value for money.

Firstly, the Oudtshoorn Inn promotes serving international cuisine and BBQ for dinner and Oudtshoorn Inn had no staff available for dinners especially since my booking was made through booking.com The general condition of the room was not up to standard as none of the facilities promoted, eg. hairdryer, iron was available. The room had no DSTV but only SABC channels and 2 sports channels. Our room had no WiFi during our stay as the signal was so weak. We had loadshedding whilst at Oudtshoorn Inn and the facility had no emergency light in the room and no generator at the Inn. The Inn also had no secured parking or security to safeguard vehicles. On our departure, the front desk was unmanaged and I had to look for the staff to check out.

I didn't like anything of the Oudtshoorn Inn as none of what they offer was provided.

No room service and no vending machines, if you want anything after hours you need to drive to go buy it. Who remembers Dail up, that's how bad the WiFi is.. the room smelled musky, like a old wet rag, there's no generator (to run the aircon) during the load shedding we experienced while we were there in summer... in blazing hot weather.

It's reasonably quiet and within walking distance of amenities and restaurants, breakfast was ok but no bacon as it's halaal.

The place is in desperate need of maintenance. Bathrooms didn't look very clean and toilet didn't flush properly. We asked for towels a few times and many hours later were given beach towels and asked to use that as they ran out out clean towels.

It was in a good location ,convenient. We could walk to a restaurant nearby for dinner

We arrived at 2:30pm (check-in as it 2pm) and had to wait 30 mins in the foyer as I room wasn't ready, which is not the end of the world, but when we got up to our room, the bathroom floor was full of water as the toilet was leaking. They had just finished cleaning it and did not notice this? We had to go down stairs to report this and they sent up someone to try and repair the toilet. After 30 minutes of waiting for them to fix it, I eventually insisted on another room as it did not seem like it was going to be fixed soon. Big and deep swimming pool with only two step ladders to get into the pool. One one the shallow end and one in the (2m) deep end, which had no steps! So it was completely useless and a major safety risk in my opinion. Guests were brining in their own (hard) liquor and drinking around the pool so we decided to leave instead. We battled to sleep as there were kids running up and down the hotel passages with no parents in site until just before midnight. We tried calling reception via the room telephone to report it, but the phone did not seem to work and no instructions or contact numbers that we could find in the room. We had to go out and ask the kids to quiet down a few times. At 23:45 I asked a guest to get his kids to stop shouting as they were coming down the passage and back from the swimming pool, but there is a sign at the the pool stating that the pool closed at 21:00 and night swimming is strictly prohibited?? The rooms are very old and lack of maintenance seemed evident in my opinion. When guests in other rooms turned on the taps it made a horrible noise in our room. Our hair dryer in the bathroom was removed and the holes patched up. The previous room at least had a hair dryer. The staff were friendly, but lacked training with regards to interacting with guests. Some had uniform on and others didn't. I've stayed in many 3 star hotels and this in my opinion is not a 3 star.

It seemed affordable when I booked, but realised after our stay that it actually wasn't.
