What a wonderful manor. Everything is just beautiful, the huge garden with the pool and spring. A delicious breakfast with a nice view and spacious rooms with highly tasteful furniture. All in all, a perfect stay.

The walk into town, although easy, is not exactly inspiring.

Great stay in a good location. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The large room (7) was very comfortable with a garden view but also had a side view to the lagoon. The breakfast was excellent and the Manor was within an easy walk to the town and Waterfront. Easy access off the N2 with good secure parking.

Exquisitely beautiful venue inside and out - everything just so tastefully done. Staff extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfasts top class rating 12 out of 10. We have stayed there before and will definitely stay there again. It is almost unthinkable to go to Knysna and not stay at Parkes Manor.

We stayed last year in Room 1 and loved its view of the lagoon this year we were in room 2 which had a much reduced view of the lagoon, and the decor was more muted.

The breakfast needs some tweaking. The service is a bit shambolic and the choices flatter to deceive somewhat.

The guesthouse looks amazing and commands an impressive view of the lagoon. A 20 min walk will take you to the Waterfront.

Although we asked for a room with a view we ended up with the only room at Parkes Manor I think without a view.

Beautiful location and a wonderful house set in lovely gardens. Easy walking distance into the centre with lots of shops and restaurants. Staff were helpful and efficient.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel

Beautifully maintained property, grounds and swimming pool. Our room was large, with a very generous sized bathroom and a lovely veranda overlooking the garden. The staff were very pleasant and the food was excellent despite the main chef being on holiday. Albert, the deputy manager, was delightful and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely visit again and thought it was excellent value.

The slippery floor in the shower. However the problem was solved when a shower mat appeared!

Very comfortable and decent sized bedrooms. Albert, JH and their Team couldn’t have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a splendid and substantial buffet on offer plus a good cooked breakfast too. A nice touch we’re the complimentary ice creams brought to us at the Pool.

EVERYTHING. The Manor itself, the lush grounds, the staff, the rooms and the food. Exceptional would be an understatement. My wife and I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back. Special shout out to the staff, each and everyone so warm, upbeat and enthusiastic to make our stay a memorable one.

Too close to the N2, so there was some noise level.

This is a beautiful place, very clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff and an amazing breakfast with great views. The rooms were spacious and very clean, great bathrooms. We totally recommend this place and would also come back for sure. Great value for your money. Particularly impressive was the breakfast service. It was quick, super friendly, you never need to ask for anything. Lulu made sure you were happy at all times and used dished were taken away immediately (unlike in some other places where used dishes linger forever on the table and you have not space left. One tip for people who are noise-sensitive like myself: Even though the rooms to the front have the view to the ocean, they are smaller and much more noisy due to the fact that the N2 runs along the property. We had a more spacious room to the back after I asked for it (and which wasn't a problem) and still had great views to the garden. And it was quiet!
