One of the rooms did smell quite strongly of cement potentially. Some work had likely recently been done on the room.

The location is absolutely stunning! And if you are in the area for birding... you can bird very well from the comfort of the house!

We had such a wonderful stay here. The view is unbelievable and the surroundings gorgeous. We had amazing staff clean the house every day and the amenities were great - everything you needed to cook/braai etc. The electricity does go off at times but the generator usually kicked in and we didn’t find it an issue at all. The house is slightly old and could do with some fixing up but mostly beautiful, comfortable and the perfect place for a lovely group holiday. Also lots of fun things to do around. We loved it!

You'll need at least an SUV to get to the property. Microwave unit didnt work. Bedrooms downstairs are cold and moldy. No cold water in the bottom bathroom. No DSTV.

Booking.com’s directions took us to the wrong address and we had to find a phone number online to try to get the correct directions. Photos and description didn’t indicate that the bedrooms downstairs were accessed from outside. Pool table was not usable because cues were broken. No games or puzzles provided. No written information about facilities and surrounds provided to help us make the most of our stay.

Great location, good quality linen, cleaned everyday. Generator for back up power. When there was a major challenge with our check in the host was very responsive on the phone.

A great spacious house with everything you need. Great to share with a group of friends with their families. Linen and towels high quality. Staff very helpful. There are one large room in the house where a family can stay, 1 queen and 2 single beds in same room, and downstairs (need to walk outside to access) there is a unit with two rooms (queen beds in both) with shared bathroom and on the other side of the house downstairs (accessed with private entrance too) there is one more bedroom with a double bed and bathroom.

The WIFI connected but the signal was non-existent, but we did not mind as it allowed us to unplug for the night. The signal in general is non-existent and we went the entire evening without any communication with the outside world, but again we did not mind.

The location was perfect for a weekend with friends. It is isolated so we did not have to worry about being too noisy as we had the entire property to ourselves. The added bonus was definitely the catch and release fishing that the men could do and the bon fire which made it cozy.

The check in time restrictions. It needs to be stated clearly before payment is made that check in later than 17h00 is a problem. the contact person was very rude about this and unrealistic as at the end of the day my travel group were employees but luckily she asked the cleaning staff to assist which helped us to settle in. 2. Electricity was out for most of the stay so generator was run under strict restricted times which was a problem as after a long day hiking and our phone batteries off we had to wait 6 hours before we could charge. 3. the plugs were faulty the first night… I’m assuming because of electricity and rain weather conditions. 4. the single beds were not comfortable at all. 5. network and WiFi down so communication as a group was a nightmare.

The cleaning staff and gardener were very friendly and helpful when we needed any help. The view was amazing. the double beds were comfortable. the house was spacious. the kitchen was well equipped.

The drive down to the house was a bit difficult with small city cars but we did manage in the end. The manager was also a little bit unorganized but she did help when we needed her.

The location was absolutely beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the pool table downstairs was an awesome bonus surprise that we were not expecting!
