Would have been great if there was an airconditioner in the room since we had to keep room doors closed due to the baboons. There was a fan, but it didn’t provide enough airflow.

The Grille Shack Restaurant’s food was delicious! Loved the décor in the rooms. Sanette arranged a sleeper couch for the kids to sleep on.

I would like the Winestall to be more Advertised. The Lady is amazing and there are such lovely wines and beautiful Christmas gifts in the shop. Please put up a Signboard at Reception, including the gift shop is my suggestion. There is Nothing I didn't like.

No food available after 4pm for overnight guests. Not a huge issue since places are within 10-15min driving distance.

Super cute and unique stay! Good value for money and good care of guests. Also a plus that they are totally off-grid during bad loadshedding stages.

Amazing place to be especially at night when it’s quiet. Just as a tip the unit closest to the parking is Morris which would be easier for older people or those who don’t want to walk on a rocky path to Austin (middle unit) or Wolseley (last unit).

Would be nice to have direct access to the coastline from the property. But it is only a short walk along Clarence Drive over the Steenbras river mouth.

Beautifully appointed room with everything you need, including a fire place with a supply of firewood. The fire place came in very handy as a cold front was passing through. Also has an outside shower which will be very handy in summer. Also had a very nice meal at the restaurant next door (they close at 17h00 though), so make sure you eat before then or take a take-away and heat it up in the room. The rooms are equipped with a microwave oven, plates and utensils.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL FOR GUEST COMFORT IN THE CHALETS. PERSONAL ATTENTION FROM THE STAFF TO ENSURE YOU ENJOYED THE STAY. LOCATION, MOUNTAIN VIEWS AND SURROUNDING NATURE WAS INCREDIBLE. A REALLY GREAT PLACE TO BREAK AWAY FROM NOISY SUBURBIA. MUST BE EXPERIENCED TO APPRECIATE IT FULLY.

There was no braai at the unit. The path to our unit is dangerous at night and not suitable for people with disabilities and difficult to carry your luggage. One could walk past the other unit but that was occupied and we were informed that we cant use that access which is understandable. We suggest that they sort out access to the 2 back units with maybe a elevated wooden foot path and add a Webber to each unit or on request from guest.

Fire place in room. Cozy. Good quality bedding. Attention to detail. Loved the retro look. Nice lunch at Restaurant next door would have been nice if they were also open in the evening.

It was extremely cold that evening. The wind was hectic, didn't expect it. There is a fire place inside but wasn't given any wood ect. Maybe additional mats or carpet next to bed.

I've stayed in many lodges/hotels over quite a couple of continents and I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, and the functionality of how the rooms are laid out, this was seriously an amazing experience I will be back. Everything works properly, small things to detail, for instance, milk in the fridge, a sufficient supply of coffee sugar and tea, even bottled water next to your bed. And then the beautiful environment surrounded by mountains and sea.

Unfortunately I came durring a heat wave and there is no air conditioning. While the fan was powerful it made little difference in the exceptional heat. I am sure however that its perfect at other times.

The staff and the outdoor shower were awesome. The modern look of the room. The view of the mountain and proximity to the sea. Will definitely be stopping by again.

There is nothing that I can pin point regarding a dislike. We were satisfied with our stay.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and all the little extra gifts were appreciated. The location and views are to die for and the restaurant a few feet away, serve some of the best food I have ever had. The service was excellent and they went over and above to make our stay customized.
