So nice place to stay! We had a lovely time. We had booked a dinner that was very good, we sat outside in the evening, close to a small fireplace, the food and the expirience sitting there in the dark was magic. Very good breakfast, the owner, Daleen was very friendly and gave us great tips what to see in the neighbourhood. We traveled for three weeks in SA and this was our best guesthouse during the trip.

I enjoyed the breakfast, but I don't think that it could be everyone's "cup of tea".

The place is situated in an area that is calm and enables you to recharge and think. It is surrounded by greenery as an agricultural holding - it would be perfect especially for city children.

We had an exceptional stay at Ploughman's Rest! It was our first time to South Africa and Daleen welcomed us as if we were family. It was great to have not only two rooms but a kitchen, living area and a porch to relax as well. Daleen was very helpful in providing tips and information to help make our stay really special. We also took the option to have an evening meal which was fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend Ploughman's Rest.

Great location for traveling from Johannesburg to Panorama Route/Kruger. Very clean, decorated nicely and Darleen was a great host. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. We would go again and will definitely recommend this place.

Owner was very kind and helpful in sharing information about the environment, destination details, grocery stores etc. and prepared a delicious diner for us. Excellent communication before and during our stay. House is very clean, and perfectly located for trips in surroundings (Kruger, Panoramaroute). House is beautiful decorated and scenery is beautiful.

The host couldn't have been more thoughtful and helpful. The property has amazingly thought out decor in farm style. Rooms are all a large size and everything is thought of. The kitchen is large and is stocked with everything you need. The location itself is stunning and the gardens equally so. Stumbled across this property when passing through and would have loved to have stayed and enjoyed the serene location for many days

The location is the most picturesque. The host, Darleen, has cooked a fabulous breakfast, and when we had a minor medical emergency, she came to our resque at night. The room/bathroom was very spacious and comfortable.

Everything was more then perfect! We can highly recommend this place. The house, room and the garden is so beautiful. When you are sitting on the patio, you feel like in paradise. Everything is very clean and lovely decorated. Darleen cooked dinner for us and it was very delicious. She is a friendly and helpful host. If we have the Chance again, we definitely would book this apartment again.

location is so perfect, very good to do the panoramic route, it’s beautiful, it’s comfortabel, it’s clean, it’s perfectly decorated and the garden is like paradise. Evenings at the boma, enjoying bush tv and stars. Dayleen (and other staff too) is the perfect lovely host and a great cook! Our stay couldn’t have been better, just perfect 2.0

Everything was perfect!

This place was spectacular. Quiet, private, comfortable, and close to the main attractions in the area. Day trips are easy and you return to a beautiful place with cooking facilities, bar-b-ques, and a fantastic fire pit area. All of this with great mountain and field views which you can take in on the wrap-around porch that has super comfortable sofas and chairs. Highly, highly recommended when visiting the Blyde Canyon area!

A great stop on the way to or from the Panorama Route! Offers a big outdoors fireplace among the trees overlooking the fields. The room and facilities are perfect. The owner was lovely and informed us in advance of load shedding times so we would prepare. The breakfast on the porch was great!

Superb location, both regarding the loveley immediate setting on a working farm and regarding attractions in the vicinity. Daleen is a brilliant hostess and made sure that we had a comfortable and pleasant stay.

This is something I noticed in South Africa. The very large beds are often shorter than 200cm and .... well, in Europe, we are used to the 200cm. Needs a bit getting used to.

You arrive and are greeted by Daleen and you feel at home immediately. The location, the building the room, the dinner, the terrace are all wonderful. It's a perfect place to start your tour on the panorama route. Again, Daleen is wonderful. The hospitality in person. Everything is very relaxed and yet, highly professional and decorated with so much taste. I do hope, we can come back sometime.
