How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The location is a bit dodgy. The breakfast is a slice of toast and you have no variety or options. The WiFi did not work None of the channels were working.

The sign indicating the name of the hotel could have been a bit more I don't know...brighter, more eye catching because I almost passed by it
The staff was very nice even though I arrived very very late they still treated me politely, showed me to my room, recommended supper. It was overall very nice after I'd had a very tiring bay

We didn't find towels..... and staff were not refilled let alone the room didn't have atheist a single chair.

There is no WiFi, they have smart tv which needs internet to play programs so since they didn’t have WiFi we were unable to watch tv, it’s difficult to have iron as the only have only one iron and a huge steam iron which they are difficult to get at the time you want them, no telephone in the room every time you need something you have to go to the Bar using the staircase because they don’t have lift. No receptionist .
It’s just a minute from the ushaka marine and the transport is easily accessible

The place is fairly new and our room smelt paint and also they only had 2 irons to be shared by 2floors thats really not practical. The person who was serving breakfast was not presentable to serve food I'm mean they could do with a bit of simple uniform instead of flipflops making noise all the way. Considering the fact that it close to Ushaka and Point waterfront, i expected quality stay however there's room for improvement. When i attempted to extend my stay with 1 day the price changed to R1400 daily instead of the R806 that i paid a day.
The location was perfect, 2min walk to Ushaka, it was close to the public transport should you need it therefore i was happy with the area.

The bathroom is very dark in room 15 and no real ventilation.
I loved the staff and especially the barman . He was doing everything including organising shuttles and food . Very helpful

NO WIFI . in 2023, a centrally located Hotel without wifi. a compesation of R80 is not equivallent to the importance of the need for internet services. Someone may need to communicate to his/her relatives, or there can bee a need to send /receive emails for work purposes, etc. Hence No wifi means its hindering communication.
Good location, close to all south Beaches, walking distance to Ushaka Marine. Eassily accessible. Good friendly staff, Bigup Anele, brother at the Bar, the cleaners and security guards are all good at serving the visitors. Breakfast was good

The building was not up to my expectation considering the cost. The rooms were too basic, not much in terms of the necessities. My room had only one towel (about 45x90cm), no glass(es) in the bathroom, no telephone to at least call the reception, no ironing board, clothes cupboard with no doors, no safe for valuables, no WIFI (give R80 drinks voucher as an apology), very limited tv station and picture quality very poor. The kids bathroom drain didn't work and water overflowed into the room and corridor. The parking is very small and difficult to park larger vehicles (SUV) like mine.
The location was good. Breakfast was okay. I'd have preferred a wider choice considering the cost. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the gentlemen at the bar and dining area. Secure parking.
