The location was perfect for me, as our daughter had a water polo tournament and i could watch the action from my window. I could also easily access the waterfront restaurants, the boardwalk for a run, and the village of Thesen Island. Lovely pool and deck area, parking provided.

It looked fairly basic but the amenities, service and staff made up for that.

The hotel is on the Harbour, near beautiful restaurant called the Dry Dock, near shops, paved walkway along the lagoon you could walk 10K to the Bridge and back along the lagoon. Staff at the hotel were fantastic from the carpark attendant, security and reception staff were wonderful particularly Sandy. The pool was heated also and I could go off for a swim at 7am and grab a coffee takeaway from the bar. Loved everything about this hotel, so much so we came back and stayed a further 2 nights on our way back to Port Elizabeth Airport. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Location was perfect for our stay. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Our breakfast was nothing special just standard.

Paying for on-site parking. Daily room cleaning was not done in the morning. Most days in the afternoon. The staff at breakfast could have been more friendly.

The hotel needs to be refreshed in terms of looks, everything looks a bit old

Staff was super helpful for our external activity bookings, and helped us for food delivery as well, did a massage/Reiki with Penny and she was the sweetest! Totally recommend

Our room was close to the ground floor room entrance doors, and inevitably there was some disturbance from coming and going outside our room doors.

We were met by a helpful doorman when we arrived who sorted out somewhere for us to park, and then carried our bags to our room. It was a nice return to the Protea at Knysna Quays, where we had stayed many years ago.

Service at breakfast was slow. Tables weren’t always set. We had to ask a couple of times for cutlery. Had to wait 15 minutes one morning for our coffee to arrive at table. On the day we were leaving we were packing our cases and a knock at the door came.it was one of the cleaners asking when we would be leaving which we thought a bit strange as it was only around 9.30 and check out wasn’t until 11am. Anyway, we took our cases down to the car and went back up to to the room for the other bags we couldn’t carry first time round, to find the same cleaner plus one other, going through our bags, literally taking it out to see what was in there! When I asked what she was doing she was saying sorry. I told her she had no right even being in the room until after we checked out. I reported this to reception and they seemed shocked but don’t know the outcome as we promptly left, never to return. This completely spoiled it for us!

Great location for the marina. Great location for doing any boat trips. Lots of souvenir shops close by and also restaurants are all close.

As a manager the least you can do is greet your guest. Smile it's good for the brand. The general staff members need that support. Carpert in the rooms have a damp smell.

I luurve Cindy at the Reception. The breath of fresh air. The lady receptionists on duty (during our stay) and of the breakfast staff are always welcoming and pleasant most importantly professional. The second time around and I am happy. Wish management can be welcoming too. Thanks for playing nice relaxing music during breakfast it helps to enjoy the atmosphere. ☺️☺️. The environment is generally friendly. And looking forward to our the visit next year same time. Big Up to Cindy though!

Maybe the staff can attend a bit more to needs of guests at breakfast tables. E.g offer coffee etc. Noise of school waterpolo (continouos loud whisles) competition but I could see that the children enjoyed the polo.
