Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAnthony Sinden -I've noticed there might be some challenges in your current role. Have you considered discussing your concerns with your supervisor or exploring other career paths that might be a better fit for your skills and interests? All I can say : It's important to maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards coworkers. Being rude can create a negative work environment and harm relationships. It's important to address any issues calmly and constructively, seeking solutions that benefit everyone involved.
My stay at Kruger Gate Hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The hotel's location, right on the edge of Kruger National Park, made it the perfect base for my safari adventures. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with a balcony that offered stunning views of the surrounding bushveld. I loved waking up to the sounds of the African bush and watching the sunset from my balcony in the evenings. The hotel's facilities were top-notch. The swimming pool was a refreshing oasis after a long day of game drives, and the on-site restaurant served delicious meals with a focus on local cuisine. The staff were always friendly and attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was perfect. One of the highlights of my stay was the guided safari offered by the hotel. The knowledgeable guide took us deep into the park, where we were able to see an incredible array of wildlife up close, including elephants, lions, and rhinos. It was an experience I will never forget. Overall, my stay at Kruger Gate Hotel was a dream come true. The combination of luxurious accommodation, stunning surroundings, and exceptional service made it a truly unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return!

South AfricaThe game drives were exorbitantly priced. (about R1250 pp) The SANPARKS drive was charged at about R795 pp when you could booked online for about R550 PP. an exorbitant mark up. For the accommodation price charged most hotels would have included 2 free game drives per day. There were not enough air-conditioned spaces and temperatures were above 40 dec C
Good dinner and breakfast buffet. Great location. Friendly staff.

HungaryHonestly, there is no such thing that I did not like. What could be more - is I think more for the National Park: I am the kind of neardy tourist, who lives to learn during a visit. If some sort of an exhibition about the animals, or/and the people and tribes originally living there could be available somewhere (not necessarily in the hotel) - that would be amazing. All in all, the hotel is just perfect - this is more cherry on the top.
The Kruger Gate Hotel was an excellent stay for us to explore the park's unbelievable wildlife. We spent there 4 nights, and I can only talk superlatives about this place. The staff is really kind, even though you can pre-book safaris, you will always have the option on the day before to change your mind (this is so clever! We clearly overbooked it...). The food is again amazing - they have great buffet for breakfast and dinner. The venues are jaw dropping. And the images, where you take a swim in their pool and meanwhile you see a bunch of elephants, so those imahes are REAL! I counted 8 elephants just under the time I jugged down a beer! The rooms are clean, and even though animal life is amazing - they are well kept outside your room. As a first timer, we really enjoyed the comfort of this hotel and the great safari offering they have on the menu. I wiuld definitely recommend it, and hope to return soon!

GermanyTiny complaints: floor was too 1960's, kind of cold which took a bit of the coziness of the nice room. Terrace with view to other room's roofs was not an agreable place for us to sit.
Always in best memory: Dinner buffet & breakfast buffet. Especially Lapa, the dinner restaurant, was wonderful, including a music/dance-program by performers from a neighbour village. Pure Africa-feeling made by long wooden walkways, friendly staff, huge guest areas and game view due to location right at Sabie River, bridge to Paul Kruger Gate. We booked "Luxury Room" which was quite big with fully (up to ceiling) separated toilet and fully separated bathroom. TV around 40 inch with smartphone mirror cast.
