The apartment could have been slightly cleaner, but I'm being very picky.

Henk and Guido are fantastic hosts. Our apartment was in the street just behind theirs, and they were always available, even via phone, for any question we had. For instance, after the check-out, I forgot one of my dresses in the wardrobe of the bedroom, so Henk and Guido texted me and the next day I passed by to pick it up. The apartment itself is big and bright, the terrace amazing, the neighbourhood is safe. Excellent stay.

Everything was wonderful. Only one small thing - couldn't find a power point in the main bathroom, but nothing major.

Fantastic location. Walking distance to waterfront, city centre, Bo Kaap..... Many small cafes and restaurateurs very close, cheaper than the waterfront. Supermarket and shopping mall very close. Hank and Guido very friendly, approachable and helpful. Four adults lived comfortably in red house for 5 days.

Second room is quite small, dark and warm as it has only little windows to open. Main bedroom has AC - the smaller not.

Nothing really. Maybe not so many family-friendly restaurants around (this is more adult area), but no problem.

The guesthouse locates in Waterkant which is very safe and convenient area of Cape Town. We were three of us and stayed at one of the apartments. It is walking distance to Waterfront, De Kaap and other major streets in the town. The host Guido and Henk were very helpful ever since we booked the place, responding timely to small questions. We unfortunately got sick during our stay in Cape Town but this apartment made our life much easier considering the situation. We could use the parking on the street while we rented a car as well, no trouble. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Town!

Checkout was very hurried - even though we asked for a 10.30 checkout, we were a couple of minutes late, to get medicines from the pharmacy, but then it was rush, rush rush to get out. Apart from that , everything was great, and we loved the place.

We received a good reception from Guido & Henk since day one. The house was neat, furnished with everything you need in a home. The location is convenient to everything ie mall, Restaurants, Parks, Beach, V&A waterfront. We stayed for 9 days and felt like home. Parking is on the street but very safe with a security guards day & night. I would recommend the Purple House at anytime.

Henk is a supernice host. The appartement is spacious with 2 balconies and the rooftop is perfect for a little sundowner. It feels very safe in the house and also the area is pretty safe!

Door to the bathroom did not easily close, toilet was not very private. Otherwise perfect.
