The proximity to the main road. It's like a two edged sword, I like it as it makes for easy access but the traffic to a light sleeper like me was not helping.

My stay was amazing. The hotel is stunning from the ambience to the decor. I also love the fact that it's easily accessible from the main road, however, for a light sleep person like me that can be a two edged sword as the traffic can be annoying. The service from the staff was excellent, served with a smile. I love Thuli at the concierge desk, beautiful energy. They definitely made my birthday special. The welcome note, hand written won me over from the get go. The views, did I mention the decor to die for. Their beds are comfortable and bed linen properly washed and soft. Please keep up the amazing work you are doing. Can't wait to visit again when all the renovations are done. Love their buffet breakfast and tea selection.

Well, you asked for it. Please note that this comes from an understanding that the Hotel is still new and will definitely get better over time. The food on our first night was underwhelming. The dishes were predominantly sweet and very difficult to enjoy. We had the chicken drumlets as a starter on our first night. They were very thick and way too sweet (I would much rather have had KFC dunked wings), I only managed to eat one of the four of them because I was very hungry. My main was the pork and noodle dish, again, sweeter than any desert I've ever had. It barely went down. Maybe there's something wrong with taste buds- I don't know but I did not enjoy my super, it all went to waste. I didn't even do a takeaway of my main- it was that bad! Secondly: The bedding could be better but it's nothing to worry about as I have the same problem with many other hotels- we managed to get our own comfortable fleece blankets from a shopping centre nearby , so not a big deal. Thirdly: It was a bit frustrating to only get 1 shower gel when there were two guests in the room. On our 3rd day, I had to call and ask for an additional shower gel. Lastly, I wasn't expecting to see cockroaches there but I killed a couple of them during our stay in our room- so I think a little fumigation can do some magic. Once again, all or some of the above can improve over time. None of them were a deal breaker for us, we will definitely visit again and recommend to friends! :)

I always dread writing reviews about places for the few following reasons: 1. They may not even be read, 2. It's tedious and time consuming. 3. There's very little chance that I may visit the place again. This time however, I'm compelled to write one and I hope that you actually read it. Here it goes: BEAUTIFUL PLACE! I loved the scenery and elegance of the whole design. I didn't know about the Private suites until I got there and I would have loved to stay in one of them. Our room was also beautiful, I loved the size of the bathroom. The TV had a chromecast function which enabled us to watch Netflix and that was awesome :) I felt that everything was thought out and 100% functional. An iron and ironing board was a plus! I was blown away by the quality, it is usually my deal breaker when a hotel doesn't have an iron and smart TV in the 21st CENTURY! The restaurant was exquisite! The views were spectacular, especially from the restaurant side. I am not an influencer but I was temped the take "INSTAGRAM PHOTOS" (which I may or may have not taken *winks* ) The whole setup and design is very elegant. We spent our third day within the premises and we loved every minute of it. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times. Did I mention the WIFI? I had coverage all around the premises which was quite convenient!

The lodge lacks the meticulous attention to detail typically associated with a 5-star establishment. They don't adequately cater to small children, as the kids club requires prior booking (which wasn't communicated at check-in) and charges a fee for access, though they accommodated us after speaking with the manager. Standard rooms lack amenities like gowns and slippers; these are only provided in superior rooms, which isn't in line with 5-star expectations. Breakfast service needs improvement, with a single person manning the egg station and empty dishes needing prompt replenishment, especially considering breakfast ends at 11 am (We were there around 10am) The bar offers limited drink options, and service is notably slow.

I enjoy the serene ambiance and contemporary style of the lodge. Although the rooms were beautiful, they were somewhat on the small side.

Staff in the kitchen and restaurant still needs to grow to improve the service. Otherwise it is really a gem in Hoedspruit.

The SPA is still not operating, what a let down. Half-board offering was very limited in the variety of food on offer. The restaurant or eatery, the staff have not found their rhythm yet, their attention to tables need improvement. The feeling and experience is not a five star hotel yet, ie. No turndown service, no sleepers and robes in the rooms.

The property is new and everything is still crisp and fresh!

The hotel offers the best looking rooms and the pools are amazing.. the food is amaazing, the staff super friendly, had a meet and greet with the lovely Manager Khanyisa super friendly. My stay there was super memorable I have every plan to return again soon.. for a new place that is amazing..

The bed are a bit tight I woke up with up with back pains. The pillows were a bit stiff requested for other comfortable pillows only to find out they the don’t have slimmer pillows. The food is AMAZING and the premises to …they also need to increase employee s number for cleaning because my room was only cleaned at 3:30pm

1. The reception staff although very friendly need to remember to offer arriving guests welcome drinks and towelettes. It would be presumptuous of us to just help ourselves. 2. Also if asked for assistance they should focus on what they are to assist with and not get distracted along the way ( We requested a golf cart to assist with luggage to our room, we were asked to wait while the staff member goes to arrange, as soon as she stepped into the foyer she started attending to another guest for way longer than what could have been reasonable. So we fetched our car reloaded the luggage and went off to hunt for our room- she probably didn't notice that we had lost our patience and left.) 3. The fact that it was not disclosed that there are no lifts, I have ankle issues. 4. Their dinner buffet was not to my expectation so had to eat out for dinner. Room service menu was far better (with the exception of the prawns) but the service was way too slow and disorganized. Waiter brought food without cutlery and had forgotten the drinks....returned long after we had improvised.) 5. Called from my room one evening to request a room upgrade for the next day ( as I had become aware that the suite had become vacant) but was put on hold until I was disconnected, and never called back. 6. The fire alarm went off at 4am only to be asked to return to our rooms at 4h02. Then it went off again during breakfast only to be asked to return to the restaurant as soon as we got the assembly point. ( 🤔They should reconsider the assembly point near reception...if the restaurant and parking lot had been at full capacity there wouldn't have been enough space for us to assemble safely - I stand to be corrected). 7. We were not informed that the Spa was not operational yet. Would have been great to know during booking. 8. The coffee station in one of our rooms had not mugs/cups.
