Where to start, the staff were great and the room was clean and comfortable. We decided to eat at the restaurant and was truly pleasantly surprised. The most delicious pizza and the best chocolate milkshake we have had in a good while. Honestly, we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway from the chaos.

The stretch of road from the reception to the unit (Mountain Lodge). The shower head was not great, but still sufficient.

Loved how spacious the unit was and that the furnishings looked modern and new. Friendly and efficient assistance. Gorgeous view. Very very clean and lovely - one of the best overnight stays we've had.

The location was perfect for the early morning Balloon safari.

One of the security guards that should patrol the grounds situated himself on the sofa (intended for the guests use) directly next to the jacuzzi and swimming pool and made a private conversation impossible. This discouraged guests to use these facilities.

Facilities were lovely, clean, and exactly as pictured, very good value for money. The dirt road entrance was not very long, and in good condition. Very high quality facilities and would book there again if the opportunity arises. Wifi worked well, even though there is limited mobile service in the area.

Only one room had an air-conditioning, I know it is a luxury, and the fan did help a little bit, however with the exceptional heat wave, 35 degrees both rooms would have been lovely.

The place was picturesque, the mountains, wildlife, beautiful interior and welcoming staff made our stay meaningful

The dirt road to the actual lodge isn't very good for low cars, but this isn't within their control

They are well prepared for loadshedding, gas ovens, gas stoves, gas heaters and generators make it possible to live uninterrupted during loadshedding

Load shedding (nothing the host can control) meant a diesel generator for 4 hours in the afternoon and the noise was quite loud in the room.

I felt the shower temperatures needed additional adjustments to be stabilised. However I believe modifications were in progress to stabilise the water pressures which will eliminate this minor irritation.

We are very happy with everything about our stay at Remhoogte Mountain Lodge. We would 100% recommend it. Beautiful rooms, offering a modern and clean environment with plenty of space. The pictures on bookings.com do not do the place justice. Rooms were a lot bigger than expected and surroundings much more picturesque. A great location, many hiking trails to do in the area. Sharon and Brigitte-the owners- are very friendly and helpful.

There's nothing not to like. Just the road is a very bumpy gravel road won't recommend for small cars. The shower water was just funny goes scorching hot and all of sudden ice cold.

We only spent the night. But wish we stayed longer. Very stunning place. Room was so beautiful and prestine. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely a must if you want to break away from city hustle and bustle.
