Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanySoon there should be a facelift of the houses/tents.
We spent three days at Rhino Post Safari Lodge and we enjoyed our stay from the first to the last minute very much. It is a small lodge (10 tent houses) and as soon as you arrive you are already part of a super friendly family. Our guide Mareike was excellent. Getting up at 5.00 in the morning is a bit hard at the beginning but Mareike welcomed us with hot muffins and we were ready for great gamedrives. Although the tent houses might soon need a fresh up / face lift the whole team, the food and the hospitality were excellent. Special thanks also to Crystal for a great afternoon at the terrasse. Thanks a lot, you made our stay in Kruger exceptional. Hope to be back soon

United KingdomNo wifi capability in the bedroom. We were surprised that our safari guide did not have the capability of 2 way radio contact with other safari vehicles, which would have helped him in locating the animals and therefore enhanced the safari experience We were also surprised that having already provided passport details etc by email, that on arrival when completing the indemnity forms that we still needed to fill all those details in again ourselves Nice to be offered a complimentary welcome drink of iced tea but an alternative cloice - e.g a fruit juice would have been nice
Very friendly and heloful staff. Very knowledgeable , friendly and welcoming safari guide( Amend). He made our safari trips very enjoyable Quality of food was very good Great to see lots of elephants at the water hole from the lodge decking

BelgiumWelcome drink was charged to our bill and checkout took too long (everything we consumed needed to be typed line per line on our invoice, while we were waiting....and we were in a hurry).
When we include a safari trip in our South African itinerary, we usually stay one night in Kruger and one night in a private game reserve. For us, this is the ideal combination : Kruger always allows us to see a broad range of animals, while a lodge in a private game reserve will usually focus on specific animals (such as 'the big 5...). In our opinion, this is a great combination for a safari trip. This year, we choose Rhino Post in Kruger and Elephant Plains in Sabi Sand. RP delivered exactly what we were hoping for : James took us on an afternoon and morning game drive and we saw lots of animals including a family of around 10 lions, a sable antilope (very rare), a secretary bird and many many others.... RP had 2 vehicles (with around 8 to 10 people each) - no tracker, but James and his colleague in the other car were keeping each other posted on sightings. We were very happy with the game drives... The lodge itself is truly great as well : what was new for us, was the experience of staying in an open camp. Upon arrival, we went to our room and saw 2 elephants right in front of our terrace. So cool, so amazing.... the next morning a herd of elephants was passing through the dry river bedding as well. Fantastic ! Food was very good - a bit more gastronomic even then other lodges we stayed at. Rooms were very very comfortable and cozy as well. All in all, a great experience and totally recommended !

IrelandThey turn off the electricity for the night up until the morning. Also there were some hidden costs, no price list for drinks, when you go on game drive the first drink is free, after that you have to pay, which they only tell you when you have your second drink in your hand. The fridge in the room is outside, and I was too scared to go outside at night due to baboons jumping on the roof. Also there is no AC, so it does get warm. The pool was freezing cold, so we didn't use it.
The room is amazing with an outside shower. The restaurant is fabulous and the food is great. The evening entertainment was good. The game drives made the whole stay. James was amazing, couldn't ask for a better guide.

Australianothing really
The lodge was beautiful and the staff wonderful. Our guide James was amazing we saw everything big and small. The dinners were incredible and they do cater to dietary restrictions which was really nice to see. Breakfast was good, but average, the dinners are above and beyond. We received some muffins prior to the morning the safari and then some light snacks on the tour. There is no lunch but rather some light snacks provided which we found sufficient to tide over until dinner after the night safari as you do also get some more light snacks on the tour. This place is worth your money. Only thing i would consider is that there is no AC in the rooms, there is one fan above the bed and i would imagine in summer it would get really hot.

United StatesLoved everything and would love to see it when the river is flowing.
Loved our stay from check in until check out..well..hated to leave though! Such a special location, incredible food, fantastic staff and guides, and adored our chalet tent. We originally booked one night and decided quickly, even before arriving that one wasn’t enough. So glad we did because we would have regretted not staying that second night and wish it could have been more like 3-4 nights!

United KingdomWe loved our stay and don't want to be negative but were surprised at the extra costs for an extra sundowner (after the first one) as we felt this was a little petty on the cost of the trip and we weren't told when we were out that it was being charged.
Excellent range of food for breakfast and interesting and very tasty evening meals. The rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable with plenty of space. We didn't use the pool or other facilities as we didn't have time. Game drives with James were very informative and interesting and he has a wonderful knowledge of the area and the game. Even though we weren't there at the best time of year he found plenty of animals and pre-empted some of the behaviour that was about to happen. I'm actually not a great fan of sundowners as I'd rather be out looking for animals but everything was presented very cleanly and a good selection of snacks were available. Every member of Staff we met was polite and friendly and we couldn't have asked for more.
