I cannot think of anything that I disliked. It is a perfect place.

Ridgeview is a very beautiful boutique hotel, with a nice garden and a terrace with a view of the harbour. The room was very comfortable, with very convenient amenities provided and renewed everyday. The garden and terrace were very relaxing (if you do not mind the monkeys on the surface of the building), and just sitting on the terrace was a treat. The landlady, Vasantha, is a very knowledgeable and caring person who goes out of her way to take care of her guest. She gave me very valuable information about Durban and South Africa in general and took very good care of my safety during my stay.

The owner was very accommodating and went the extra mile after a vehicle on the property kept going off. the breakfast was very nice and would go as far as to say one of the best i have had at a BnB

I liked it all!

Breakfast was fabulous - in addition to a full English breakfast, small sweet pancakes and a cereal parfait were included. The owner is friendly, attentive and very interesting to chat with. The views of the harbour are great and the gardens are lush and peaceful. Lots of seating on the veranda and in the garden were available to guests. A taxi service can be organised if needed and dinner is available, with notice. I will definitely return!

TV not working due to poor connectivity. Should atleast have the basic channels playing than to rely on wifi connection for the TV to play.

The staff's care and welcoming was 10/10 I really felt at home because of those beautiful ladies. The location and the place itself is so beautiful, there's fresh air, very quite and lowkey, I loved it. And Vasantha is one of a kind, a refreshing and polite soul she made us feel good and relaxed I really had a great time, and I'm going back for more🤗.

Absolutely nothing Loved everything...that is extremely rare, but true

Amazing hospitality with attention to detail. A truly delightful experience at Ridgeview. Delicious breakfast, spoilt for choice, catering for all dietary needs. Safety, peaceful, and tranquil, ideal for guests on holiday, or in our case, preparing for my Dad's admission to Hospital. Close proximity to Hospitals which is extremely helpful. Supportive staff and management, who are attentive to your every need, accomodating, special requirements of each guests, including their limitations such as with my elderly parents, making the entire process of a loved one being hospitalised, and relatives having a "home away from home" to come back to in the evenings, and leave with a delicious nutritious breakfast to sustain you, relieves your anxiety and really does make a difference to an otherwise stressful time in our lives. Thank you to Vasantha, Pascal, and staff for well wishes for my Dad's recovery, their support, and making this a 5 star experience. I will definitely be returning on holiday with my folks, to relax, to this amazing place and recommending it to anyone who is in a similar situation with a relative utilising the nearby hospitals.

there is construction next to the property. totally not the owner’s fault but I can’t wait to come back when it’s done .

the property is quite small making it intimate and homely . there is also a lot of gardening which I appreciated . I loved the different sit points in the garden . the butterflies and tranquillity.

The owner of Ridgeview as well as the personell are just the most friendly people you´ll ever meet. They make amazing english breakfast as well as drinks in the evening, and if you want to get a ride through the city they can organize that as well. I was working in Durban and stayed at Ridgeview for 3 weeks, and the team at Ridgeview really made me feel like i was right at home every single day! So, if you want to visit Durban, which i would highly recommend, i suggest you stay at Ridgeview. There is just no place quite like it.

Everything was excellent!

Ridgeview Lodge is a great place, with great hospitality and you are always well taken care of. The breakfast is amazing and the level of professionalism from check-in to check-out is quite rare to be honest. Excellent outdoor scenery and swimming pool that overlooks the Durban Harbour.
