We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomWe didn't love the smart switches in the house for shower and bath etc, they can take a bit of getting used to. The last step up to the second level is also quite deep which is a bit unusual - minor things which can easily be managed.
Lovely big place with very good amenities. Cleaned daily, nice pool, excellent barbecue and located next to a nice park. Host was terrific and very responsive.

AustraliaAs other guests have said, we couldn't find a way to turn off the lights in a couple of the bathrooms. But that's a minor quibble that didn't spoil our stay.
This is a great property in a perfect location close to Franschhoek. The outside area is lovely and our family made great use of the pool and seating area. The bedrooms are enormous and well-equipped. Danae was very friendly and helpful in welcoming us to the property.

South AfricaUnfortunately the main feature that attracted us to the property was the hot tub, but only when we arrived did we get told that it was not working. Same as the WiFi, it was not working due to issues from the storm, which is understandable, but it would have been appreciated if we were notified to these issues prior to arriving to be given the option to refund or not. Due to WiFi not working, the smart TV did not work either. The house is on a smart system, so lights are triggered by movement and switches. Unfortunately two of the bedrooms we could not switch off the bathroom light, the switches available did not turn it off, so we had to sleep with the lights on.
We were greeted by super friendly, lovely ladies who gave us the keys and showed us around the property. The kitchen was very spacious, as well as the bedrooms with showers. The house is situated in a beautiful road and very central to the town and wine farms.

United KingdomThe property needs a lot of tidying up. There are multiple areas where cables are exposed where it’s expected televisions used to be in the bed rooms. The toilet seat was broken in one of the bathrooms and the cupboard door fell off when we opened the wardrobe. The floors were SO dirty to a point we all wore flip flops the whole time we were in the property (even to get from the shower to the bedroom. The property is very high tech (which is great) but every time the electricity switches to the inverter and back again, Alexa requests for the devices to be reset. This is very annoying when happening at 3 or 4am. All relatively small things but all need sorting for the property to be comfortable.
The location of the property was great and less than a 10 minute walk to Franschhoek high street. The pool area was lovely.

United KingdomEven though we were late arriving, the property was still being cleaned when we got there. There was no proper handover or property information guide to explain how the alarm, lighting or sound system worked - the sound system would come on in the middle of the night when load shedding ended, waking us up. The hot tub was not working - repair men turned up the following day without warning or keys, and we had to call the management to find out what to do so that we could go out. The house was not really child friendly, the stairs are dangerous and the pool area has odd steps and uneven decking. The bbq grill did not fit the bbq properly.
The location was excellent and the property was spacious. The staff were very friendly on arrival.

United KingdomWhat a disappointment it turned out to be from relatively major things to those smaller annoying and inconvenient things. - the upstairs shower clearly has a leak and drips into the bottom bedroom, but drips through the light fittings. Dangerous. - we were not given any instructions about what to do in the case of load shedding (a recurring event in South Africa). Wehrmacht we discovered the generator there was no fuel in the generator and the house only had two emergency lights. - the decking on the upper balcony, around the pool and jacuzzi were rotting away and a definite health hazard - the beautiful, but rather impractical and dangerous stairs did not have a handrail. - the Alexa system was disconnected just before we arrived and this through the entire light and sound system into disarray. Some toilet lights were not working, bedroom lights came on and off ad naseum - there were not enough bath and pool towels for the number of guests. When I queried this with the owner, I received a rather sarcastic comment related to “I guess you know that you have a washing machine in the property” - the stove top was not working at all. We had planned a big birthday dinner for guests and had to quickly reconfigure the menu as we were not able to cook on the stove. The property is in desperate need of some TLC - blinds not fitting properly, rooms smelling of urine, paint peeling, mold in corners, exposed light fittings. For the amount of money that we paid, and the fact that this is advertised as a four star establishment, I was very disappointed and frustrated - especially as it was probably once in a life time experience.
The property looked very promising via the booking.com app. It has a good location and it is easy to get to the main road. The property has so much potential - and we booked it for a triple birthday celebration and had six guests fly in from different parts of the county and the globe.

South Africa- The house has gadgets including a Siri version that was not functioning 100%, and none of which was easy to work. Great if its your house and personalized for you, but as a visitor it was incredibly frustrating to have to figure out how something worked before being able to use it. Instructions on how things work clearly displayed next to appliances and the jacuzzi would have added value. The dishwasher and the coffee machine needed to be serviced. The dishwasher and stove was in German. Instruction to Eco in one room was not applied only to that room, causing much frustration for the occupants of other rooms. - There were no basic consumables as expected. At this price point, usually kitchens staples like salt, pepper and coffee/tea/sugar are provided, even if in small quantity There was not even hand soap in the bathrooms. On day 1 there weren't enough pool towels, kitchen cleaning equipment; no microwave and no bottle opener. The stove was induction and only 2 of the pots provided could be used on said stove. The house sleeps 8, but there was only a 2 slice toaster. - Guest bathroom did not cater for a hand towel and soap. - There are broken wooden slats around jacuzzi - dangerous. - The upstairs bedroom facing the pool had temperamental lights, that did not respond to the manual switch, only to Eco, who only listened occasionally. - The staircase does not have a railing, and is steep as well - dangerous. - There weren't enough bedside lamps and we only figured out on the last day that the manual switches could be removed from the wall, making getting up to switch off the lights, unnecessary. - The room finishes were paired down compared with photos - missing tv's, bedside lamps. - Some sensors and controls were not mounted, resulting in one room not being able to operate their blinds at first, and another's bathroom light going on every time the occupant rolled over in bed!
The house is an easy walk from the main street. The host on duty, Danai was very attentive when called upon, even though she could not solve the most annoying problems.
