As more of us have to travel with laptops, we do need some sort of workstations - just normal height tables and chairs to work at. Working on low coffee tables is difficult.

The apartment we booked more than lived up to our expectations, it is spacious inside and outside with its own large veranda from which the views of the garden and Sundays river were exceptional. We were able to be completely independent and relaxed despite other guests being there but out of sight. The kitchen area is well designed and we were able to cook easily and braai outside easily. They change all the linen every day. We were adopted by their lovely teenage Great Dane and Fat Cat and really enjoyed their company. The wild bird life in the garden is fantastic. Very good WiFi. Lisa was very welcoming and helpful. We were outside Addo Elephant Park and it was just a short 15 minute drive to the main gate each day. We had a Wild Card so were able to easily come and go early morning, back to the house for lunch and then off again for later in the afternoon. The Cattle Baron restaurant at the Main Camp was very good and excellent value. The park closes at 6.30 but the area where the reception is, is still accessible and the restaurant stays open till 8.30.

Beautiful view and nature sounds. You just start to relax immediately. Place is extremely clean with cleaning service. Friendly cats and dogs at the estate. The Addo park is nearby and the beautiful Zuurberg pass. Thanks Lisa for the wonderful stay.

We stayed at River Front for 3 nights and just loved it! The elegantly styled unit was very clean, the bedding was of excellent quality and it was lovely and crisp, the shower was clean and hot (not to be taken for granted!) and the kitchenette was perfectly and neatly kitted out. The openness of the view and front lawn was so refreshing! Great place for the kids to let off some steam! The units have a lovely view of the sunset over the river. It was very cold when we were there but we hardly felt it indoors as there were ample heating units and extra blankets supplied. The hostess, Lisa, was very friendly and welcoming, helping out with arrangements for a game drive nearby and even couriering an item that we left behind! River Front is perfect as a base to explore Addo and the surrounding reserves, and that an affordable rate!

Accommodation great but hosts not very friendly

Walls paper thin and noise levels from even generally quiet occupants in adjacent room disturbing. Basic chair and small table to work at would have been appreciated. Table outside was very much an outdoor table and not suitable for working at after hours on a cool evening. Other minor issues inside such as window screen broken if mosquitos had been an issue, which luckily they weren't. The name restaurant is a misnomer, for what is offered. There was a cook who was ''cook, cleaner, bottlewasher and receptionist ''- for 5 or so tables ...this person that was alone on duty and doing everything was clearly out of her depth and she had far too little support...forgetting to bring the most basic things like condiments, butter and the like, keeping tables waiting etc etc. I felt sorry for her. This amateur restaurant, accommodation and service was disappointing to me as a South African with our country trying to woe back tourists after the ravages of Covid on the hospitality industry.
