There was not anything we did not like - a true Velddrif experience.

Lovely spacious room with kitchenette and huge bathroom. We had a wonderful stay the one night - could easily have stayed much longer. The guest house is perfect to use as base to explore the area. The owner was very friendly and so helpful with recommending placed to go for dinner.

It was a spacious room equipped with all the appliances that made us really feel at home. Lovely beds but above all an extremely friendly, helpful host who provided us with all the information. Furthermore, a beautiful view of the river. Highly recommended

The unit was a self catering unit. It had the basic appliances for my needs. The host Mike was the best to date. He was absolutely pleasant, friendly and caring. A gentle soul that went beyond the obligations of a regular host. From offering to do your laundry, to assisting with fishing gear and giving you a detailed overview of the area. The best feeling is to get up in the morning to the seagulls singing and looking at the lagoon through your room window, is priceless.. Highly recommended and I will return.

We did self catering but the location is the key here. Beautiful apartment and sliding doors open up onto the garden and river and it is just beautiful!! Bird life is exceptional. We were also fortunate to have good weather which was an added bonus.

I couldn’t stay longer….

The location is superb, right on the river! Great views, incredibly calm and close to all amenities. The Highlight of the stay was Mike and Julia, they are the heart of the property and always go above and beyond to create an warm, welcoming environment that will make you wanna stay over again and again! They create a wonderful environment for anyone that’s visiting, you instantly become family and Mike ensure that you are at ease, familiar with your surroundings and sets the pace for a great experience. We were lucky enough to stay over NYE and Mike and Julia put together an amazing dinner for all of the guests and honestly, it’s so much more than you ever expect. Words cannot express how incredibly grateful we are to have met the Mike and Julia and stay over at their home away from home. Done take my word for it, book your stay asap!

Parking may be a bit cramped if all rooms are taken but just nitpicking here. Nothing to complain about

Beautiful views as advertised. Got some stunning sunsets from outside our room. Comfortable room and well equipped. Host was very friendly and always willing to help. He accommodated us when we arrived early and switched rooms after the first night before heading out for the day, made our lives so much easier.
