I had expected the river to be closer to the cottage and a little more accessible. Would have loved to be able to swim more.

Walking into an unknown location, literally in a gorge and doing something totally outta our comfort zone...the sound of the river flowing at night was just it for me...and the sound of the fish eagle 🦅 was out of this world 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Nothing. Be aware it a little away of the town of Lydenburg (20 minutes uphill), which we really like. But take your groceries with you. It is 25 minutes to the supermarket.

Really, really an amazing place. Quiet, safe, beautiful! So wonderfull located with fantastic views! The cottage is big, very cosy styled and very comfortable. On the property (really big) some great walks are available. Really beautiful! And they had 2 super sweet dogs...great fun for the kids and good partners on the walk! 100% recommended, great value for money!

The River in the pics was very far..... The sound of the waterpump, disturbing. The gravel road to the house was terrible! My poor car! 😂 I would suggest a roof for the braai area...seeing that we had rain the whole time we couldn't use the braai at all. There's also no place to sit outside while it rain.

Beautiful farm style house, with all facilities you need. Very comfortable beds. Lovely warm water in the shower.... neat and clean. Lovely surroundings.

Everything is Excellent in this nature reserve and breathtaking heaven on earth environment. A place to commune with your soul , spirit and body. A place for family reunion. Very peaceful, mountain view from the kitchen as you cook and you hear the sound of the river early hours of the morning. You wake up to the lovely smell of Lavenda plants and roses around the farm house. The lovely Annette always checking on us and her house is filled with books and family games. The WiFi is great . We felt like family and the security is excellent. The Blyde walk and river walk was excellent. When you drive around you get to see monkeys, baboons, spring water flowing from the mountains and different animals in gated farms. Horse riding was excellent. NB* This is my first time to experience a self catering that gave me peace of mind. Everything was there in there in the kitchen, every utensils that a master chef has , it is at Riverbed. My kids enjoyed their rooms as they all had kids toys for all ages. Words are not enough to explain . Thank you Annette, we felt like we were at a hotel.

I would not necessarily recommend the property to non 4x4 drivers, it is a rather rocky gravel road. The main sleeper if you have a midnight bladder like most, I'd suggest putting rails on the deck with maybe a solar light to light up a bit of the walking area.

We absolutely loved how private and secluded we were from everything and everyone. We loved the glamping without the actual camping idea of the Glamping tents, everything required was as they'd say "move-in" ready. Also how absolutely peaceful it is, going to bed and waking up to the sound of the river flowing and the birds chirping.

I enjoyed the sounds of the Fish Eagles and the Owl and the River. The location was superb and now i miss the sound of the river! Enjoyed the challenging walk up the mountain. Thanks to fantastic hosts.

You need a 4x4 type of car especially when it's raining. Otherwise u can hike and the owners always willing to help or transport a person.

Serenity, nature, the river, the lagoon, the tent. The glamping is very beautiful. The morning breeze, the sound of the river flowing, the birds. It's a quite place away from the busy towns. Enjoyed every moment there. The owners are great, the dogs are magnificent, they hiked with us till the lagoon, leading the way. Shooo if you are looking for peace, introspection, adventure perfect place.

It's a lovely place for anyone who loves nature and enjoys a rustic vacation. The owner is very nice, always checking up if everything is okay. I would not recommend this place for anyone who does not like camping. Spiders everywhere you look. We loved our stay there and will be going back again in the future. If you love camping and the outdoors, do yourself a favour and book a weekend. You won't regret it.

The road to the accommodation is a little steep and with rain, our high rise vehicle wasn’t enough. We needed a 4x4 because we ended up getting stuck.

less attentive to details we ended up missing the main attractions because of bad directions .NO DIRECTION BOARDS no guides to be sure we get to the right place.TENTS - didn't find or see them apparently we took WRONG TURN ! Found wrong tent.

Liked the house inside n outside n safe from animals you can sit outside late at night,the house is nicely decorated,has all what u will need to cook and serve. The surrounding is beautiful and the walks.
