The room and kitchen facilities were exceptional. Fabulous views over the farm and countryside. We arrived quite late and our host provided us with a lovely meal (requested in advance). We were made to feel very welcome and the 2 dogs and 2 cats were adorable!

The bucket shower is very cool to look at but not to use as the drain was clogging and the hot water wasn’t working properly as it went hot/cold.

Easy efficient communication with Colette via WhatsApp. Beautiful location. Loved the little handmade wooden signs guiding us along the route to the guest house, because we arrived at night and it was dark so the signs helped a lot. Our dinner was ready and waiting for us, so lovely.

Very nice, friendly hosts. It was like staying with friends or family. We took a walk in the pine forest, feed calves and sheeps. The food was very delicious, vice cocktails. Everything made from own farm products. Our room was very clean, the bed very comfortable.

There’s a 800m mud road to the property which was a bit scary in our little Toyota after hard rains, but once safely back on tarmac the mud road added to the adventure rather than detracting.

Fantastic set up with a lovely clean room with en suite, shared outdoor deck, lounge, dining and full kitchen facilities. Generous host kindly provided milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. the location is stunning with views of the working sheep and cattle farm, gardens, forest and Scottish-looking glen with waterfall in the distance. absolutely magical breakfast with fresh eggs, milk, and homemade jams.

Location of the B&B is excellent for hideout and relax. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We came vary late and it was no problem with that. No prepayments required ,just booking. The B&B is located in the mountains and surrounded by forests. There is water fall and the creak nearby. Good stop over on the road to Kruger park if you travel from KZN.

We changed our plans last minute, so we made our booking an hour before our arrival. Luckily, it was no problem for Colette and Gerhard. We felt very welcome and it was the best decision. After a few minutes, they make you feel like home. We loved our stay at Rocks and Roses! The hosts, Colette and Gerhard, are the most lovely people we've met during our trip in South Africa. We loved having a good and fresh meal in their living room with a good conversation. In the morning, after a really nice breakfast, Gerhard showed us the farm. He asked us to help feeding the calves, which was very nice! The room was nice and clean. We can really recommend this place. You will never forget it!

My expectation of the food was high due to previous reviews. The use of the farm produce was overrated on their website Unfortunately that was not met. Room was not once serviced during our stay.

The roses were beautiful. Surrounding is peaceful and quiet. Host was helpful and friendly. Room was clean.

The fact that there was no TV at all, free WIFI that they offer was very bad in network so we couldnt use it to watch on the phone or laptop,very uncomfortable beds,bathing water was brown and bath towels that were suppose to be white were cream,I guess it's caused by the brown water

Convenient to my destination for the wedding,very quite and very friendly staff especially the owner Colleen,she was willing to accommodate our early breakfast than her usual time,she did her best to accommodate the diabetic diet I requested and she prepared freshly baked muffins for our departure, what a nice surprise, thank you

The 2 rooms I chose (in the main house) when booking were not available on arrival, only 1 was, and I was offered a room at an outbuilding. I was not happy with this.

Lovely rustic location, quiet and peaceful. Lovely walks around the area, with amazing scenery. Home cooked meals were very good, and owner was very friendly and accommodating.
