If you are not used to the open plan style you may find the room to be odd. Personally during our stay we did not find the bathroom to be a hassle in any way. This is in reference to the fact that there is no "bathroom" but instead the toilet, shower and hot tub bath are all in the same room as the bed, a screen divides the toilet from the main room, however this may put off some visitors.

Excellent breakfast bright and early in the morning. If you're lucky you could spot animals just outside the property, we managed to see giraffes as well as ostriches. The room was warm and the shower / hot tub worked wonders during the cold. Staff were very helpful and very kind, the braai (barbeque) area provided us with the exact tools required to make a delicious meal.

There was nothing I didn't like about the stay.

The room was well furnished and very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The gardens were very well kept and the cottage was very private. Breakfast was good in that it was different. It wasn't just a bacon, egg and toast breakfast every day.

1. There is no intercom by the gate, if your don't have airtime or you have run out of battery, you are in trouble as you need to call the owner to open for you. 2. Our chalet (chalet 5) was situated next to a neighbor with dogs. We couldn't enjoy sitting outside because of the neighbor's dogs barking. Even at night, we couldn't sleep properly. 3. There is a rule that a guest should wash the dishes, but our room was not self-catering. We were on vacation , needed a break from house chores, and we were shocked to find that we still need to do some chores, although we have paid. 4. The TV was not working since we got there. The owner's husband came to have a look. He greeted me in afrikaans and never greeted my partner. His body language was soooo unwelcoming and the tone of his voice. We thought the business language was English and that the lodge accommodated all races. 5. The guests behind our chalet were so loud playing music via their blutooth speaker. 6. The braai area had no water to wash your hands or dishes. 7. Wifi was very slow.

The nature and landscaping. The place is beautiful, the owner (Elize) was soooo welcoming, she even borrowed us an airfryer. The place is actually good, we only had a problem with the location of our chalet.

The check out wasn't to the best I think that can improve. And food problems seem to be a common issue for the destination.

Look into what people eat when they get there because the area itself is problem to find near good food.. Food was a problem because many things where far away to reach.
