Close to the road which makes it a very convenient overnight stop. Very well equipped kitchen. Staff friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely stay.

The outside furniture could be more comfortable. The pool was not available when we arrived as it was being re-painted, but this was complete the next day.

Farm house was nicely located and had a nice swimming pool which was a re-done reservoir. The beds were comfortable and the host very accomodating to requests.

I specifically booked a place with a pool as we were staying for two days. The pool was green and the next day it was emptied. We were very disappointed about this!

A bit awkward to share the house with strangers

Not something serious, but we were traveling with a lot of food and would have liked a bigger fridge and freezer. It didn`t spoil anything about our stay though.

We were welcomed in an amicable manner and immediately shown around the facilities. The girl (Lucia) made us feel at home and reminded us that she was just a call away if we needed anything. The facilities were just what we wanted - the feel and ambiance of a typical Karoo farmhouse. The room was spacious and clean and contained everything we needed for our night`s stay. We had a lovely braai in the peace and quiet of the Karoo.

Bathroom wasnt on suite. The ad mentioned that the bathroom was private though. Slighty misunderstood it.

Tim was great with communication sending us info, directions and pin drops before our arrival. We were greeted by the friendly house keeper Martin and the farm cat (whom my boys named Tom). Martin showed us around and actually changed our rooms around so the children could be in a room next to us. Most lights stayed on during loadshedding which was a great. The kitchen had all we needed (& more). Overall it was a great one night stop over. The biggest extra /bonus was the exceptionally friendly and loving farm cat whom if my boys had been given half the chance would have brought him back home with us.

Using a room with a private bathroom in a huge house with other rooms filled with other guests, albeit all very well-mannered, friendly and neat, cleaning up after themselves, was a first for us. Preparing supper was great, meeting some of the other guests, having a lovely chat, sharing travelling experiences, was pleasant. However, we went without a late night cup of tea, not wanting to disturb other travellers' sleep. The house is antique and the passage floor squeeks a bit. Our two small doggies, well socialised and normally very friendly and playful didn't get along with the other guests' dogs as they were tired and irritated. Once rested, the situation improved but was still a bit stressful. Other guests' children were scared of dogs. Our dogs badly needed a free run. That had to wait until all the children and dogs were inside tjeir own rooms. At last our doggies got their much needed free run. All went better after a night's rest. We are not used to such a setup, but looking back, without the dogs and their free running needs and peculiar tempers when tired, it would have been a very pleasant experience. We might do that again in future, just for fun.

The property is truly pet friendly with a good fence all around a huge yard with a great lawn for the dogs to play on. The fence will keep even very small dogs safely inside the yard. Even the gate is secure once it is closed. The property is well kept. The linen and towels are perfectly clean and brightly white. The friendliest, most efficient, warmly welcoming host we have met in years received us. Hospitality galore. We truly felt welcome. Like visiting grandma. There was enough clean hot water for all, our bathroom was spacious and the room had enough space. There is airconditioning to cool the room. During the night no airconditioning was needed. The night was comfortably cool with windows that can open and mosquito frames that can be closed. The kitchen and dining room are well stocked with enough of everything needed for all guests. It is an establishment well run and well organised.
