We loved our stay at Rosedene Guest House. The staff were all so helpful and pleasant - Lungi, at the front desk during the day, was just the best (and has the sweetest smile) and Deidre was very easy to work with. They kindly added a single bed into our room when my husband got a stomach virus - it was quite comfortable and the room (ours was on the back side of the building) was large enough to accommodate it easily. The staff was so kind and checked on my husband frequently the day that the rest of us were away on a tour. They treated us like family. The guest house is close enough to restaurants that you can walk to them - but far enough from the very busy part of Kloof Street that we didn't have to deal with traffic and noise. It was a very quiet neighborhood. The view of Table Mountain was lovely, and the beautiful patio - open during the day and closed in with sliding glass walls in the chilly evenings - made a great spot for a glass of wine, playing cards, and for having the pizza that we brought in one evening. The staff was so very accommodating, whatever we decided to do.

Taxi drivers could not always find the street (but is no fault of Rosedene guesthouse) The rooms are quite noisy, you can hear your neighboor but we don't mind.

We had a lovely stay! Staff is very friendly, breakfast is very good and the view of the breakfast to see the Table Mountain is great! It is a very safe place to stay in Capetown.

We had an amazing time at Rosedene and we’ll definitely be back! We loved the authentic atmosphere of the place and the staff was extremely friendly. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. Location is 10/10 as well!

(Another) Lovely cooked breakfast to order. Staff and host could not have been more hospitable and friendly. Location away from ‘town’ but an easy Uber to anywhere. Lovely sun terrace- that was pretty windy!

Drivers struggle to find the location and then cancel rides. The small and subtle sign on the crossroad is easily overlooked. If possible, please add a bigger sign directing to the guest house.

It's a quiet location next to the vibrant and full of restaurants on Kloof Street. Go to the Kloof Street House restaurant & bar located in a Victorian-style house. Make a booking earlier (trust me, you'll need it). The Table Mountain's cable car is a 7-minute ride from the guest house. It's 10 min ride to the V&A Waterfront. The guest house features a small open pool and spacious sitting areas for all guests. It's nicely decorated with local art. The Deluxe studio is very spacious and has all you need for a good stay.

The decor was adorable and the hotel staff were very accommodating. We had a midnight flight and they were helpful with leaving our baggage and letting us use the facilities while we waited to go to the airport. The neighborhood is also very nice. Great bars and restaurants just downt the street.

The location is amazing, with fantastic views of table mountain and close to great restaurants and bars. An Uber into the city centre was only @ £5. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, we were made to feel very much at home. The breakfast is lovely and the decor and surroundings are very relaxing. After a long cycling trip through southern Africa this was the perfect place to unwind and recover.

Rosedene is a guest house not a 4 or 5 star hotel so on the basis of expectations it had very little to fault it.

Good location in that several good restaurants nearby and very good service from Uber for destinations further away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice garden and communal area. Very comfortable room.

Lovely stay, location perfect, very quiet and secure, but close enough to walk to restaurants. Staff very friendly and accommodating, with things like late check in, gave good recommendations for dinner, helped by making bookings and recommended visit to Babylonstoren, which I did on my last day in SA.....fantastic, thank you! Great breakfast, with eggs cooked to order, comfy room. Would very much recommend.
