The location was ideal as you could walk into the town centre- lots of nice things to see and do. The breakfast was fantastic- high quality. We thought the bed was very comfortable. Very welcoming hosts. The bedroom was well designed and decorated as well as well thought through with nice practical features- eg hook for toiletry bags ect.

Can't think of anything here! Some people may not like dogs, the owners have two large but really chilled dogs who like ear scratches.

Such a cute place, situated very conveniently for a little walk to restaurants and amenities in town. The hosts are so lovely and friendly. The breakfast was tasty. I wish we had time enough to stay longer and enjoy the place even more. Thanks so much and hoping we get to come back and visit you again.

If you’re sensitive to sound it’s a little close to the main road although there isn’t much traffic at night so not too much of an issue!

Very friendly and helpful hosts, walkable to the shuttle stop for the wine tram with secure parking. We had a delicious breakfast cooked for us both mornings - very accommodating with dietary requirements too! Clean and comfortable room, we had a great stay, thank you!

The sound insulation in my room might have been a little better as traffic noise intruded at times. Nothing else.

Very friendly and helpful owners. The location was excellent being a short walk from the town centre. The room was very comfortable, clean and well fitted out. There was a good range of channels on the TV. Milk was provided in the fridge along with ground coffee and a cafetiere. The grounds of the guest house were well laid out and the individual guest rooms were full of character.

Room was cute, spacious and clean however it can be noisy as its close to the main road and you can hear the trucks at night. breakfast was freshly made and served at a certain hour which wasnt an issue for us but might be if you wake up late. About 6 min walk to the main high street

Fantastic property with great hosts! Debbie and Lee went out their way to accommodate us at all costs and their accommodation is beautiful! Location was great and their dogs, Tia and Bailey, made the property such a homely place! Highly recommend the Roundhouse Guesthouse for comfort, peacefulness and a great stay!

Debbie and Lee were fantastic hosts from our arrival to departure, with only 2 guest rooms and a private pool it felt like you were the only people staying, a lovely setting for breakfast which matched the quality of food served. I didn’t realize that the accommodation was right next to a busy road and the thatch on the house did not provide any sound insulation. The motorcycle and traffic noise in the day was considerable but fortunately at night it was quiet so it didn’t affect our sleep.

Breakfast was delicious! The beds were very comfortable and everything inside the cottage was thoughtfully laid out. Debbie was warm and friendly and we loved the two big dogs.

I forgot that breakfast was included so that was a nice surprise! Eggs benni too which I'd only expect at a restaurant, so that was great! The pool was great, there were loungers and towels waiting for us. Debbie was available immediately if we messaged but also gave us privacy.

Good breakfast, with the best scrambled egg ever! Great location - easy to walk into town, to enjoy the wonderful restaurants that Franschhoek has to offer. Excellent and friendly hosts, offering great advice on everything local we needed to know. Very comfortable bed - I slept like a log!

There was nothing I didn’t like

The owners Debbie and Lee were very friendly and welcoming. The roundhouse is very well appointed and extremely clean and in lovely surroundings. The bed is very comfortable and because it’s so quiet we slept really well. Breakfasts are great and Lee’s homemade lemon curd is to die for. If I could I’d go back tomorrow.
