This was a very nice surpise! The room was really great and spacious and the bathroom was very clean as well. The breakfast had a nice variety for what we needed and we would all stay there again. The fact that it is walking distance from Gateway was also extremely convenient.

The only thing I am not 100% happy about is that there is no room service for breakfast. This makes it challenging when working as we then needed to order from outside the hotel/leave the room to grab a quick bite. On this trip, I didn’t have time to go down for a buffet breakfast so it would have been nice to have an a la carte menu for breakfast specifically for guests that don’t want to go to the restaurant during this time. That being said, the restaurant is excellent and pricing is reasonable. Overall I am still very happy and will definitely return as we have always enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

We have been coming to the Royal Palm for 15 years now, and it’s always been a great stay. I like the convenience of its location and the rooms are always comfortable and clean. The housekeeping and kitchen staff are lovely and very helpful, they really do go the extra mile to help and make your stay a good one. They are also very prompt and responsive to requests, even if it’s very early. I appreciate that they are also always friendly and happy to accommodate requests regardless of time.

Thyme Restaurant service was absolutely awful. The reception at the restaurant has no telephone etiquette. Supervisor totally lacks leadership skills and ability to manage customers. Clearly there is a communication problem that needs to be addressed. The Management of the restaurant needs to learn more about customer service. Absolutely disappointed.

Location was great, quick trip to and from the airport and close to the beach and shops. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. Comfortable beds and check in was easy and quick. Appreciated the air-con in the room as it was very hot during our stay.

1. The rooms need an 'upgrade' for some of the items. The cloths over the bedside tables and bed base covers need to go, the fabric couches and cushions in general need a deep clean 2. Sadly, crockery and cutlery are no longer available in rooms. You need to ask for them 3. The room we were initially booked in had cockroaches, we complained so on the second night, we were moved to another unit. 4. The cleaning was not great, our fridge smelt of beer the whole stay, at times the lady would not empty all the bins, table tops not wiped properly. I feel like there should be a supervisor checking on the quality of cleaning done 5. The noise from the surrounding offices early morning, staff chatting on balconies can be disturbing. 6. Room 316 needs maintenance, a few door handles loose, some items missing like the lamp for the dressing table, 3 dining chairs instead of 4

It was not our first stay here, so familiar with the facilities. I have always loved the 'hybrid' nature of the facilities (hotel/ apartment). The reception and maintenance staff were always willing to assist to make our stay comfortable. Information was provided upfront on where to find what where.

On our first night the aircon was not functioning, it was reported twice to reception and maintenance did arrive during the day to fix it. Which was not done although we did leave the room for about 4 hours for it to get sorted out and it didn’t! We informed reception that he should call us to inform us whats happening etc and that too was not done. The next shift staff was there and we did go and complain, we were told they have no more rooms to change ours, my husband requested to speak to the manager then only were we given a new room for the last night of our stay.
