The room didn't have enough outlets. We had to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk, as well as, an extension cord to charge our phones. The breakfast and dinner that were part of the package was okay, but not excellent. At times the service was also slow.

The location was very nice and the view of the ocean was great. The room was clean.

The air freshener they used when servicing the rooms was overwhelming. I had to put the air con and fans on and open the door. I had bad sinus it.

It would have been great to have more than only two sachets of coffee and powdered milk in the room. It would have helped to know that we were to ask for the hairdryer adapter at reception as we were not able to use the hairdryer in the room without the adapter.

The buffet breakfast offered an excellent choice of food options which was freshly prepared, and plentiful. The staff was helpful and cheerful. The hotel made us feel very welcome, and spoilt us for our wedding anniversary.

The cocktails were very disappointing as they don't have much flavour. There was very little mint in the mojito. It was tasteless. Could hardly taste any alcohol in any of the cocktails we tried: Pina colada, mojito and long Island iced tea.

The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. Right on the beach with easy access to the tidal pool and swimming beach. A really relaxed holiday vibe. The tropical gardens are lovely, with tables and small decks with individual tables, lovely for a relaxed meal or drink. The views are amazing. We really enjoyed all the food, which was reasonably priced

The location - right on the beach - is fantastic. If perhaps a little outdated, this can be forgiven for the hotel’s old colonial style feeling with beautiful plants and decorations. Regarding the breakfast one is spoilt for choice, it couldn’t get much better. As was the dinner we had in the restaurant. Top notch. The staff are all super friendly, attentive and professional.

the stairs!!! carting luggage up and down is a mission not to mention the trip every morning and afternoon.

location and proximity to the beach is excellent. has all the necessary facilities. we did not need to leave the property at all during our stay. they even had a holiday club to keep the kids entertained.

Decor, very dull, all brown & white in main areas old dried-up palms in corners, plants half dead. I when for a massage, not good lady needs more training she scrubbed my feet while i was on my tummy?? knee does not bend?? Spa set right next to pool so no ambience (screaming kids) would be better located at bottom bar so you hear the sea you have the perfect spot. You have a beautiful balcony at the room but then really uncomfortable chairs.. opportunity to improve room would be to place comfortable chairs to relax on .. not just smoking area.

Location is fabulous, Service was great, you can sit under the Palms Trees and order lunch. walk down to the sea.. room clean and neat, food good value for money, breakfast good varity.

I think the room needed aircon, swimming towels and definitely a little fridge. Other than that, it was perfect!

The place was magnificent and the staff were amazing. A special mention to Monty, Anthea and Nichelle for their kindness. The food was outstanding! Loved the view. It was the best! Thank you, Salt rock hotel, we will definitely be back.

Hallo we only have one problem. When we did the booking online we booked 2 rooms for our Director and Manager. When they got to the hotel we paid for 2 rooms and 4 people. The extra blanket in the cabinet was smelling badly. The overall smell inside the hotel was not good. Maybe try a new fragrance cleaner for the carpets.

Food shocking & staff slack & sullen. The hotel is really shabby & needs a serious renovation for what they are charging. Totally overpriced for a tatty 3 star. Only good thing is the setting & sea views.

Maybe a suggestion to re-arrange the waiters. It was a battle to get a waiter to serve us. No one served us unless we called a waiter and asked to be served. Perhaps dedicate waiters to each area e.g. Pool, deck, restaurant, outside seating.
