Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaThe restaurant definitely needs attention. Food is not great, and it has made the experience not as it could have been. Two of my 3 colleagues had water in their rooms, myself and the other one never got water. Some of us never had our coffee station filled up daily.

Nice hotel with very helpful and friendly personel. The room was nog big but good. I can imagine some people don't feel always safe outside of the hotel but travelled all over South Africa the location is quite safe! Dinner, breakfast and bar were very good in my opinion Walking to V&A Waterfront is safe and about 20 minutes. Don't want to walk: order an Uber taxi, cheap and fast to all hotspots in Cape Town!

Hasten to add that the menu is the same each day. So , very frustrating when you needed some variety and told they were out of stock

Loom facilities limited - something to put your clothes in would really help. A phone to communicate with reservation, restaurant, calll-up phone calls and at least one comfortable chair maybe bar fridge to keep my water/cold drinks cool.

I only made breakfast 3 times so my answer is not atypical. Although I arrived quite late into the breakfast sitting I found the hot food to not be hot enough although there was plenty of it. The cold breakfast was great. The staff were brilliant from the cleaners to the bar staff. Special mention to Byron who was exceptional in every aspect. China was a really good laugh and Soyomo all very pleasant company. I hope I spell his name correctly but Winele was also an excellent waiter.

MozambiqueThe main thing I'd say I didn't like is the breakfast, unfortunately. I was only able to eat simple things like corn flakes and a simple cheese sandwich with tea because the eggs, bacon, etc wasn't well cooked and not tasty at all. The other thing I would say I didn't like is the fact that there are homeless people around the hotel which is a little inconvenient in my opinion. The toilets need to be well maintained, some of them have stains in them.
Although the rooms are small, they were nice, clean and comfortable. If you're just going to cape town to enjoy the tourist attractions then you won't mind sleeping in a small room. The location of the hotel is also good in terms of being in the center of town and close to the V&A mall and other convenient stores.
