The water temperature in the shower was uncontrollable, and that we didn’t get our anniversary surprise as promised

we were unfortunate to come on a rainy cold weather we would have really liked a heater for the sitting area because the bedroom were nice and had extra blankets

everything about the property was amazing it was a good, amazing comfortable stay the staff was so welcoming and always there to assist our host Diana was such an amazing soul. When we arrive the property manager Marilaide had a cake and a balloon for my son as we were celebrating his 1st birthday that was so thoughtful and sweet. the lodge is amazing with the view was spectacular it is really a beautiful place, we are already planning our second trip because everyone just enjoyed the place.

Lots of noise from the lodge. Music loud from the time we checked in til around 11pm. We went to enjoy some peace and tranquility so the disturbance was quite irritating.

The view was fantastic. The chalet was cosy and very clean. We felt at home.

We stayed in the Lodge which was AMAZING! Spectacular views over Oribi Gorge, spotlessly clean, great braai area and rim pool. Good WiFi and full DSTV. Diana was professional, caring and extremely attentive. We loved this place!

None of the things advertised were true- no pool for cottages, no WiFi, no real walks… infact it had nothing except a house with a small tv and even poor mobile signal

The house is beautiful and clean, excellent location. Lovely outdoor area with a firepit, however we could not enjoy this amenity as the firepit extractor fan was not functional and smoke was blowing in our faces, making it extremely uncomfortable. Hosts could be abit more helpful and enthusiastic, Marilaida who contacted me about my arrival was extremely unhelpful. My questions regarding activities at the lodge and surrounds were answered with "Google will be a big help"

Con's Non-negotiable arrival/departure times with owner. Upstairs bedrooms are incredibly small & hot. Sheets smelled bad.

false advertising,majority of facilities inaccessible,place is more a party location than a “holiday destination” a lot of items mentioned are told when you arrive can’t be done.Overall disappointment once you arrive

Disappointed not what was expected. Definitely need new beds or mattresses. Loud music and talking. On complaining they did sort it, but it should not happen in the 1st place. No Internet on Saturday and Sunday. Informing them that their is no internet and send screen shots of the error the response was that their is nothing wrong. I ended up connecting to my phone to be able to work.

The view. Teressa have been wonderful and helpful and if I could I would have taken her home ;-)

Shower and all water is freeze or burn only. Water pressure changes. Travel directions are wrong. Staff don't know difference between left and right. No aircon. No access to pool in photo. Bedroom door does not close. No map. Wrong directions. Confusing roads in area, all with lots of potholes, so travel is slow.

They sent the farmer to fetch me when I got lost because of their lack of map and poor directions. The on-site manager is friendly but can't assist with directions or a map. The correct directions to Silverstream is: Go to: -30.726923, 30.339692. The is the start of road D412. Do not take the route provided by the GPS, it will not work. Roads are gated. Travel to the turnoff at: -30.701935, 30.310868 without taking any other roads or turnoffs. Your GPS will tell you there are other ways to get there, but there are not. All other roads cannot be used by normal cars or are gated. Follow the signed turnoff to: -30.695200, 30.309562. The Silverstream gate will be there ahead of you. Then use the location provided to you to get to the right cottage.
