Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThere is no network coverage however they provide WiFi which helps a lot. No quad biking or proper game drive but they offer other activities that we enjoyed as well.
The property is perfect for people who are looking for tranquility, the up-close experience with roaring lions was to die for! I loved how the owners interacted with us as well. The staff made us feel soooo welcome.

South AfricaThe room I was i, they didn’t specify when I booked that there is a huge distance between the rooms. I was so scared as I was visiting by myself, couldn’t eve lock the room from outside. The fact that they were being loadshedded made things even worse also the WiFi was so weak it couldn’t even connect on their TV. The road to the place is very bad and even worse if it raise

South AfricaI did not like the false advertising regarding the rooms. Chalets are different from what the advertisement shows, which is the lodge room. There should be a picture of the chalet.
Loved the room I upgraded to at the main lodge. And The staff was friendly.

BotswanaSelf catering cannot be done with a kitchen like that. Needs a complete makeover and equipping to make a comfortable stay. Get a full stove with oven. Lighting around the chalets needs attention. Minor attention inside the chalets is required to brighten them up and uplift guests mood eg lighter colors inside. Finally...consider activities such as quad biking and improve target shooting experience.
Very accessible, quiet, and well laid out lodge. Lots of cats to see. Very friendly staff. Lovely chalets and swimming pools.

South AfricaThe hospitality is giving home away from home. The staff and owners were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I can’t even find the words to describe this place. It’s beyond amazing, it’s like nothing Ive ever experienced in my whole life. The interaction with the animals is absolutely top tier. This is a great place to go when you really want to get away from the noise of the city.

South AfricaThe water situation can be better especially in the morning.
The breakfast and dinner was very filling and delicious. The room was spacious and comfortable enough, the atmosphere was what we needed, in the middle of nowhere and all we saw was animals(lions, tiger, leopards) in our backyard. The staff Simole and colleague were very friendly and nice from the minute we got there and also not forgeting the Host for her kidness and friendliness. I will definately go back without hesitation. My favourite moment was movie night and thank you for a great weekend, we truly enjoyed our staycation.

South AfricaUnfortunately, we couldn't do all the activities that we thought and cancelled. Sunday morning during early hours my husband got a runny tummy and I started to vomit terribly the Saturday afternoon. We met other people and Saturday evening she went into the kitchen and called me, and the kitchen was not very clean at that stage. I am not sure if that is what made us sick, but it was not up to standard as all the washing is also done in the same room. On the Monday when we booked out, we received a better breakfast with more variety and fresher stock and the owner cooked it herself. Then the activities that was offered to see exotic animal was disappointing because you see all he wild animals and then the helper actually walks you too the 4 white lions 500 meters away and that you need to pay R400.00 for a couple. Teh gentleman that she has to take you on the guided tours doesn't understand if you ask question lots of questions, he is very basic. I did not bid mounting anybody, but you can feel free to contact me should you want to speak to me. I will really not go back there again or tell people of the place.
The bedroom was very nice and good situated. We had the best room on the property. the room was clean except I have reported to them the basin in the room that the water wasn't running out quickly.

South AfricaThe rooms were modern and comfortable. The bush setting was perfect and relaxing. Early evenings a fire was built for us to sit around and enjoy a braai. Martie and her team were gracious and very accommodating to our needs and they have gone above and beyond to make our stay memorable and relaxing as possible.

The roaring of the lion at night were a real treat. Even though we're not too fond of animals in confines they looked very healthy and well treated.
