It would have been helpful to know the daily activities available in advance & likewise that restaurant was open for lunch before we arrived.

Room was large and very comfortable. Property has superb views over the sea and Sedgefield lagoon. Dinner menu was varied and tasty.

We enjoyed the pleasant stay and special treat for our 10th year anniversary. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere on the lodge was very relaxing, and the rooms were clean and stylish. The chef special dish and the beach picnic tops it all. Our gratitude goes to Fynbos on Sea and all the staff that made our stay something to remember with warm hearts.

More about improvements: better staff training (couldn’t understand our request for two separate, single duvets), which was requested on our application form, bathroom (room number 4) - no hooks next to the shower to hang the towel, and better handling of the payment - we have been charged by book.com and the lady at Simbavati insisted again on a payment, as apparently the first one didn’t reflect on their system. We still hope to get a credit. Not sure from whom….

A very professional and friendly service. Nothing was too much effort. Everyone greets you from the gardener to the front of house. Keith and Protea farm was a lovely experience. Awesome guide! It is quite pricey

We enjoyed our stay at Simbavati, the hotel is situated on a hill with the most stunning views of the river and ocean. The staff was lovely and very helpful, food was good and they have mountain bikes you can take to go on a biking-safari in the reserve.

Nothing to add! We got some rain on the second day but even then it was hard to complain about anything.

We had an outstanding experience during our one-night stay at Simbavati. The genuine friendliness of the staff and the private lodge setting on top of the hill are uniquely welcoming! The view from the pool is even better than in the pictures and the little hike trail around the property almost ensures to encounter with some wild animals like zebras and types of springboks. Lots of activities to offer and an amazing food experience for breakfast and dinner!

What a great experience, the management and staff were fantastic. They went out of their way to ensure we had a calm, well fed relaxing break. My wife was ill (nothing to do with the hotel) while we were there and the management went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you Ant and Yolande.

Lots off devils thorns around the property. you need to take extra care not carrying it into your room. Luckily our mountain bike’s have tubeless tyres.

It was just amazing! Great location, with unbelievable views, amazing staff, incredible food. They all were so dedicated and paid us so much attention! The food lacked seasoning and flavour and range and was really a disappointment for such a gorgeous place. The activities are also very expensive. we were also disappointed that they were no bicycles available for children.

The property is located on prime land with exceptional 360 views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and our guide Kuda was very knowledgeable and became our designated photographer. Overall a beautiful stay.

The view from the pool is probably the best view from any pool in the world. You can see mountains, a lake, a river and the sea (and stars!). The service was impeccable - 5 star. Delicious food too. We really should have spent longer here.
