The room didn't have a bar fridge and needed a proper shower facility, not the one on the bathtub

There is no lift. Several flights of stairs to the rooms. Room service plated were left inn the corridor for most of the day.

Awesome location close to the mall which makes it convenient. the breakfast was excellent a variety to choose from. The staff and manager very polite and always willing to assist. We loved the view out of our room toward the garden and swimming pool

The access cards are not really user friendly because my door could not open easily. I think I had to try 5 times before the door could open.

The whole stay was very satisfying. The hotel was really clean and my favourite part would be the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the pool was well maintained. The hotel is very safe and family friendly.

The aircons are extremely bulky and noisy. Even though I appreciate a/c, this is just too loud.

We booked for four people and the room was prepared for only 2. Only 2 towels and 2 coffees. Housekeeping couldnt communicate in english, trying to explain why we needed another 2 towels and coffee took forever! We eventually had to sign for 2 extra towels. No plugs next to bed? Crazy! Aircon was so noisy we couldn’t sleep with it on and it was super hot! The beds rolled towards the middle. Very unpleasant.

Unhelpful and unfriendly staff, especially front of house. Food was abysmal. Mushroom.Pasta was a packet meal, Royco I think. Certainly not even close to what I would expect from Southern Sun.

The noise that outside guest make in the restaurant. The room was not as clean Called twice to be assisted in the room- no one knew who was supposed to come to assist-

Bath was dirty , bin was full when we checked in( had to call reception to empty). Plug in room did not work. Bathroom light flashed on and off all the time. Did not report this as we only stayed the night and were already fed up. Room looks very tired and has not been refreshed for many years

Service was poor. I enquired about laundry they said they would get back to me and 24hrs later no one had still gotten back to me. I had to enquire and ask for laundry to be cold washed and ended up getting a very expensive bill and felt that I had been ripped off. In 5 days never really saw the hotel manager and they have a breakfast table that is wobbly and everyone goes sits on. And they keep on having to ask people to move off the table when they can just replace the table with another one.

Cleanliness, breakfast was very good, bed comfort. The hotel is well situated and very nice that there is a shopping distance that you have access to through the hotel.

Convenience and access to the highway, friendly staff, cleanliness and comfort. We have decided to make the Southern Sun our halfway destination each time we’re travelling to EC from Gauteng.

Staff not always very friendly, carpets in rooms and beds need replacing, very old and out dated. Unfortunately our first night was not great at all, there were guests partying and swimming and making a huge noise through out the night, I Phoned at 00:00 and again at 04:45 and still they continued. When questioning reception the next morning they told me they were celebrating, well unfortunately that should not be allowed between 00:00 and 06:00 in the night. surely security should sort them out and not wake the rest of the guests, hardly responding to the complaints. Our access cards also had to be reloaded a couple of times. Lastly the room service food was standing outside in the passages for quite some time, not very pleasant to walk past other peoples dirty plates all day long.

The rooms inside need to be renovated, especially the floor carpet and the bathroom.

We liked the fact that it's close to the N1 freeway and the shopping center. The breakfast was delicious 😋. The beds were comfortable, and the room was warm.
