Excellent accommodation; luxurious and comfortable. Delicious farm-fresh goodies to welcome you on arrival, and to make you feel right at home. Beautiful beds with gorgeous clean linen and towels. All the amenities you could need to have a wonderful stay -feeling like a home away from home. Full DSTV and Showmax, means you can also watch movies and relax if you feel that way inclined.

    Nothing really!

A great touch was the fresh bread, milk, butter and eggs supplied. Really appreciated it. As was the lovely cookies on the pillows. Having free wi-fi also appreciated. Wilde Als cottage is really a pleasure.

We loved the whole farm experience, from receiving bread, milk and eggs on our arrival, to the mooing sounds in the morning and watching cows getting milked. The farm is located in close proximity to the sites in the area. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. A thoroughly enjoyable stay

    Everything was Perfect

Really great location, quiet, peaceful, lots of space and relatively close to shops and restaurants. The unit is beautifully appointed and caters for everything. A friend joined us for a lazy lunch which we had out on the lovely verandah overlooking our private garden. Our small dog had a great time walking on the farm, lots of new smells and sights.

Having to pack our bags to leave and head back to reality! ;)

it was the perfect off the grid getaway we needed. the hospitality was amazing, a freshly baked rusks and farm bread welcomed us along with a jug of milk from the local dairy for our breakfast and warm hot cross buns for a late afternoon snack. We will be back - next time for longer.

The property is pet friendly (which is great), but unfortunately with that comes pet hair, especially on the carpets/rugs. With a baby and a toddler playing on the carpets and them dropping food and putting it back in their mouths they unfortunately did eat a few extra unwanted pet hair. We have they same issue at home with our doggies. but we make sure the carpets are cleaned thoroughly twice a week.

Beautiful, picture perfect cottage… made us feel welcome walking into the place. A freshly baked bread, with eggs and milk from the farm, was the perfect touch to make us feel extra welcome. Everything was just perfect, from the beds, bathrooms, the lounge, the fireplace and especially the Stoep. We missed out on using the jacuzzi. But we will return for that.

We never met the hosts - all was done on the cell phone. It would have been nice to see someone! Would recommend a fly swatter in the cottage as loads of flies. Also a hook on the bathroom wall for the towel when you shower would be nice. Some crockery and cutlery could be updated and the spices, salt and pepper need to be more appealing. Very old bottles. A little noisy with tractors and brushcutters but it is a working farm.

It was very comfortable and homely. Loads of space and liked the separate scullery with dishwasher. Wonderful housekeeper Tabi assisted us with what was stated as a "gas oven" was in fact an electric oven - the information on the wall and the fridge should have been updated. Lots of wood supplied for the fires outside and inside. Loved the homemade bread and butter, fresh farm milk and eggs! TV and wifi good. Loved seeing the horses. No coffee machine as stated on the site but there is a French press (coffee plunger) Take your own ground coffee.

    Nothing at all.

What an exceptional stay; this place had everything one could wish for and more. A welcoming Christmas card, freshly baked bread with farm butter, creamy milk and farm eggs were just some of the items provided to make sure one really felt at home. The superb beds, the fireplace with lots of wood provided and the fully equipped kitchen are just some of the amenities that made this such a memorable stay. To top it all, the quietness and serenity of the beautiful Midlands will stay with us for a very long time.

The house was an experience, you enter the farm under a beautiful stone bridge, greeted by playful cows. The house had beautiful touches and the hosts had created an atmosphere of wholesome farm living. I absolutely loved and enjoyed my stay.
