Maybe slightly tired in parts but it’s an old property so to be expected still looks very grand

we arrived late a last minute booking and we were welcomed into the property very well. as it was dark the lovely receptionist did her very best to accommodate us in the main house not having to find a room off the property! we ended up staying 2 nights after a flight delay All the staff could not be more friendly and went out of their way to be super helpful!

The area around the tables outside the main building next to the swimming pool was dusty. The bath in our room leaked water and the tap was broken which I reported to reception.

Beautiful surroundings- very well located . Staff were very kind and attentive. Indoor heated pool was a great addition- even I summer it was nice to swim in the evenings . In winter it must be great ! Spa seems to be good value for money .

The dinner was very salty and they seemed to be short staffed. We had hoped to use the spa but arrived late and were not able to make a booking for early the next morning as the spa and the hotel are two separate facilities on the same property.

The hotel building is beautiful and the views are incredible. The staff were friendly and the location was good.

indoor pools handle railing was loose almost slipped , if there could be lights outside the front door of your room so at night it’s not completely dark

Lack of rails on the paths to and from upper rooms made it difficult to walk around

the only issue we had or thing we didnt like was that the room smelt abit moldy.... like damp. But other than that it was excellent and very good value for money . will defs be going back though....

- breakfast was a little light for us and only started at 7.30 - rooms are tired - we hadnt really registered that this is a full 30 minute drive from central cape town. not the hotels fault! but fyi for anyone looking

- very quiet location - beautiful view - lovely to have access to a swimming pool - not too busy - shower was amazing

Unfortunately, our room had a bathroom where using the shower resulted in the whole floor being wet. No shower door and the floor sloped so that water went everywhere. It was extremely hazardous and we had to use all the towels to try and dry the floor. This made going to use the bathroom dangerous. This issue really needs to be addressed as it could result in a serious injury.

Breakfast was great, location so peaceful looking out over the flats from Constantia. Very peaceful, beautiful grounds but pools were not really in full operation.

No generator no torches in rooms. General conditions of hotel average really requires attention in all areas. Menu options for evening meals poor.
