Went for a quick weekend fishing trip, and got so much more. Great setting and accommodation made for a perfect weekend. The Studio was an ideal size for the 2 of us, kitchenette with everything we needed, nice comfy bed and lounge area, patio with a beautiful view and an easy to use gas braai. The fishing was top notch in the well stocked dams, and for wild trout on the river with some good catches. Attentive host and great value for money - we will be back.

The whole breakaway was very pleasant, the tranquility you get from the scenery is unmatched.

Load shedding was a bit of a bummer, however, the host managed to brief me early enough so that i was in the loop. The DSTV did not have a network, and the signal was very bad, only SABC channels were available.

The customer service was incredible, everyone from the host to the cleaning crew was very accommodating. The fish trout dinner was exceptional, and the breakfast basket was filling and adequate. I had a great time walking along the river and taking pictures. The scenery there is so beautiful.

It is very close to the road so you do hear cars driving past. Fishing gear that we rented was a little old and one of the reels didn't work properly.

Ours was self-catering. We liked the room and view. Fishing dams were beautiful and a lovely experience. Comfortable beds and easy to use braai facilities.

Everything and everyone. The place is absolutely gorgeous, and the people are beyond helpful and friendly. I was on a solo vacation a woman, and they made me feel right at home and safe and sound. The views, the area, the walks, and the meals (braai basket was my favourite). I have fallen in love with this place and hope to be back very soon!

Great unit in the middle of a little pine forest! Wonderful hospitality, excellent daily service and underfloor heating against the winter cold. We highly recommend Stonecutters! We took lovely river walks, enjoyed the beautiful reflections all around and even went up the mountain a bit. Thank you for a perfect getaway!

The location is amazing. The staff is really nice. But most importantly Lesley and Lenbè were saints. We were supposed to check in at 19h00 to 20h00. But due to issues on our side we only got there after midnight. When we informed Lesley she told us to take our time and would make sure someone was there to check us in. She and Lenbè checked on us throughout our journey. When we arrived, Lenbè checked us in and when we informed her that we needed to leave early the next morning she went and made us a breakfast pack, at around 1am. She and Lesley really went above and beyond for us.

everything was exceptional

Lenbe , Margie and Lesley were exceptional hosts , the friendliest people. The breakfast and dinners awesome , cant ask for more and affordable. We stayed at the stone cottage , wonderful unit , the fire place to keep us warm and comfy , a winner is the wi-fi , I was able to do some work in this wonderful place, 2 x nice braai's , it was definitely a home from home. The fishing was obviously great , my son and me enjoyed catching fish everyday, you will always catch fish at stonecutters. We had a lovely picnic basket and relax next to the dam ,and again ,caught nice fish . We definitely are going to return in the near future ,hopefully next month. There staff are the most helpful people ,friendly and always available to assist you . Well done guys ,keep it up - see you again
