This property is like a dream and my husband and I would easily live there forever! It is a very cosy and well equipped self-catering wood cottage, nested in a gorgeous property with wonderful views of the mountain. The bed There is a common area with a pool table and board games you can borrow, surrounded by glass doors, which means you get to have fun there while enjoying the mountain views. There are many activities you can do around there like hiking, kayaking in the lake (unfortunately we were there for only one night and didn't have time to experience them). We were there in March, but I really want to come back in the winter to see how beautiful it is with the snowy mountains. We did a 18 days road trip and this was by far our favourite, I 100% recommend this property! I can't wait to go back :)

We picked this accommodation for its location on our way from Royal Natal National Park to the Wild Coast . We weren’t expecting much. But we wish we had booked to stay longer. The cottages are located along an alley of pine and the rich pine scent is amazing.

Very cosy cottage. We had the most relaxed night and wish we could have stayed longer. If you want a peaceful and relaxed holiday, this is a place to go. The host was very friendly. Definitely coming back here.

No shower,but very clean bathroom, with instant hot water. A clearing of the trees in front of the cabin, would give one such a view that it will totally transform the appeal.

Nestled at the foot of the majestic berg, is this pictureqistic log cabin. The air is clean and fresh, the tranquility beyond imagination. The hosts are warm, friendly and so totally non-intrusive. The most amazing thing is the TRUST, the rception is unmanned. You can hire fishing equipment or buy anything, simply enter it in the book and pay via EFT or place the money in the box.Lots to do within the farm, fishing from the banks of the lake, or from a boat, visiting Splasy Fen farm, swimming in the waterhole, on the river. It is not unusally for the buck to visit in the mornings or the birds to sit at your table on the patio.Then there's the surrounding areas, a drive up to Sani Pass,will leave you in awe of the majestic Drakesnberg mountains. The slopes look like manicured lawns, the mountains rising in ever increasing shapes that let's your creative descriptions run wild.

Stoney hall is relaxing with beautiful scenery. It is very relaxing and comfortable. A great time away to recharge. Relaxing bath overlooking a forest of trees.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make our stay special. The cottage was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and relaxing. A big plus for us was it was pet friendly so we got to take our 2 kitties. Having 2 strictly indoor cats I was a bit worried about them running away but the balcony at the back of the cabin is on stilts so it was elevated off the ground and my cats couldn’t jump down. That was a really nice surprise for me and my cats! We will definitely be back.

Staying in the cottage/bungalow was lovely. We slept 8 in there and it was very comfortable for all of us. A nice fireplace that worked well and gorgeous view. Pleasant walks to go on and easy access to surrounding towns. Will definitely visit there again!

It's absolutely amazing. we loved to have breakfast outside in the garden with the crisp morning air and the clouds rolling over the mountains in the distance. we enjoyed the walks on the property, we even saw some blue crane birds i managed to sneak in an 8km jog, and santie was very kind and helpful. The kids loved the fireplace in the evenings so much we had to make a trip to town to buy more wood, and we sat next to the fireplace gossiping and telling stories till 1in the morning. I'm even considering building a fireplace at my house now. We had a braai every night with the sun setting over the mountains. I'm absolutely overwhelmed by the beauty of this property, and thankfully, santie is willing to share it with the public. I highly recommend this stay

Not having a shower made things a bit difficult. The road to the farm is in poor condition and I would not advise people to drive it at night.

The location is wonderful and the hosts were very friendly. The room was comfortable with electric blankets and a heater, it was chilly at night, it was summer as well.

Beautiful setting- very clean and fresh. Owner was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend. We loved our time here. Pet friendly so our fur babies could accompany us on holiday which was a BIG plus.
