The only thing was the TV not in the room and Breakfast should be included in the price and some things like the Gym and Hot pool.

Beautiful place surrounded with lush greenery and a viewing platform to see wild life. The staff are so nice and very helpful. It was overall a great experience staying there

We were shown to our room but only the 3rd room was ok. 1st room self-catering which did not book & no aircon. 2nd room aircon not working. Breakfast poor. Toaster not working. Noisy day visitors in the pool. Grounds messy.

the net did not prevent the insects from penetrating inside to bite

The room was too small, no table or chair, no drinking water and glasses in the room, no tea making facility in the room, the kitchen with fridge, stove is a different building with a small table that can accommodate maybe four ppl.

1. The rooms were untidy. First night there were bugs everywhere. We thought it's because of the thatch roof so we okayed it. I even found a millipede on my pillow. It's wild so we were ok with that. But in the morning we saw all the dust under our beds and crumbs. The water in the kettle even had mold growing inside. 2. We went to dinner. The food was horrible. Our daughter loves pasta but she couldn't even stomach the spaghetti Bolognese. I had ribs and fries. The fries smelled like old oil. My husband's dish was fish and veggies. That was edible if you like boiled fish. In the morning we hoped for better breakfast but it was actually worse. The omelette was burnt...all 3. Nothing was edible. The coffee was ok and the fruit. Luckily they have a great host in Alina. She's the only one who was kind and helpful. 3. On day 2 while relaxing by the pool. A group of kids and their parents arrived for a party. Turns out the place accepts day visitors which can be 10-20 people at a time inside the pool. So you must be in great spirits to mingle. 4. They had a big group check in late in the afternoon. That group decided to have a party or chill session all night till 5am. When we called reception no one picked up. We texted to complain and they only responded in the morning to say they are a hotel and they can't control how their guests have fun. 5. In the morning we asked the manager why don't they have an emergency line or can't deal with unruly guests. We were told we were being rude for complaining. The manager (female )was actually calm and tried to explain the way they run the place. The chef (male), walked in while my husband was talking to the manager and he started shouting at us and told us it's "his place" and we can't talk like that. We were merely talking to the manager and he started shouting at my husband and then words were exchanged. We left the place with a very bitter taste in our mouths.

Location. The Lodge is at Guernsey and it's a great location.

The place was not clean, no a/c no TV, shower drain not draining the water, at some point no hot water, false advertising all the activities are not in the yard they book them for u then you have to drive to different places for them.

Everyone at the lodge was friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing! The lodge is the perfect central location for day trips to Kruger, Blyde River and the Panoramic view. We really enjoyed our stay and our hosts were so helpful and really made us feel at home.

The road to the venue is not good specially from the entrance gate, it is dusty and rough.

Everything. Jan and the staff were exceptional. especially the chef and the waitress. The food was amazing ,breakfast was excellent, the other guests were all so nice and accommodating. We were all just one happy big family. I had a 4 year old son travelling with us who was just a beautiful spark to all the guests as well.oh yes Bhuti, what a dog.

Tommy and team only took over a year ago and are in the process of revamping the whole site. They have an eye for detail and are refurbishing to a high standard, but not all the rooms are finished yet! However, that's only a matter of time. Although we had a room that wasn't yet refurbished, it was still clean, comfortable and great value for money.

Set in a stunning location just outside the Greater Kruger Park, there are two viewing decks from which to watch game (we saw elephants, kudu, impala and warthog during our stay). Tommy, Andrea, Jan and their team were lovely and super welcoming. The pool area and surrounds are beautiful and were just what we were looking for, somewhere to relax with a book after a long safari in the Kruger. Lovely bar and a la carte restaurant.

didn’t get the rooms we boomed and paid for- even though I booked almost 10 months in advance. something about a double booking but there was no communication at all from the owner or booking.com. door locks on toilet and room door were fitted the wrong way round and wind kept blowing them open. i changed the locking mechanism myself. lunch order was a bit of a fiasco even though the food was okay - waiter was totally clueless and had clearly had no training at all. got the feeling the place was under relatively new ownership or management and it needs some work for it to reach its potential
