We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaThe surrounding was not very clean. I guess it was because they were short staffed due to the festive season...
The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was out of this world. The dinner menu was limited due to our kind of booking but Chef Willy and Chef Benny outdid themselves and the meals were enough. Nkosinathi and Vice were the best restaurant hosts. They even offered us room service so conveniently. Mom Sbongile was just as awesome at breakfast. She attended so well to the kids as well... The hotel has nice books and colouring activities for kids.

South AfricaThe aircon in our room was leaking so we ended up keeping it off to avoid the leak and the room was extremely hot. With dinner, we were given a menu to choose from and later on to be told that they gave us the wrong menu for the dinner package that we bought, I think that was so unprofessional and a waste of time, only after a lot of fighting it was sorted.
The hotel is beautiful and clean with helpful staff I requested a surprise for my sisters as we were there to celebrate their birthday day and it was nicely done. Thank you 😊

South AfricaTypically under all managements, my longevity has been awarded with a complimentary upgrade from a “standard” room. Not this time. I was offered the upgrade at additional cost. During the six nights I was there, the occupancy of this entire property could not have been more than ten rooms, if that. Would it have been such a big deal to recognize a truly loyal customer? Seems like the new management have lost their “touch”……pity…… I am a lifetime Marriott Platinum and my loyalty is always rewarded. Do I need to switch from IHG next time
I have been coming to this property almost annually for 53 years ( since 1970) I don’t know how many iterations of management I have been through…buts it’s my place to stay in Johannesburg for years.

South AfricaRoom 224 balcony was infested with wasps and my 2 year old was stung on the stomach. Also we were welcomed by a lot of mosquitoes especially in the bathroom.
I enjoyed the breakfast, livers tasted so good. The chef accommodated my 2 year old who did not have much options.

That's slavery in my opinion. If we in aircon vehicles feel the scorching sun and uncomfortable heat, I cant imagine how he feels , dont want to even think when it rains . It is advisable to set up an wendy house near to the gate in use. Thank you

South AfricaThe aircons were working during the day. Then around 21h00 our group was back at our rooms and couldn't get the aircon on. Reception informed us that something had tripped and maintenance can only see to the problem in the morning. She did offer to move us to another room on a different floor, but we preferred to stay in our room with no aircon. It was quite hot and uncomfortable to sleep in summer with no aircon.
The hotel reception is amazing and so charming with the chandeliers and Royal furniture. Rooms are more modern and comfortable. We ate at Milners restaurant for dinner. Food and service was good. Breakfast was exceptional.
