The location is outstanding and out of the way with you own bush pool to swim in. Anything that we needed was provided the family was brilliant towards my family and I. Thank you.

The only minor irritation was the flies. Might be useful to have a mesh door or mesh on the windows to keep the bugs out without having to close the door and windows all the time.

The owners are exceptionally welcoming and friendly, the hot tub with a view of the mountain is sensational, everything was clean and comfortable and well maintained - you can see it is all so well thought out and considers the comfort of the guests. Bonus was discount vouchers for the caves, and the mountain top swimming pool!

Absolutely Sensational! From our arrival until we left the hosts were friendly, helpful and informative. We went on the most spectacular trail to the Waterfall and without even asking he offered to take us there and showed us the way. The unit was clean, met all my expectations and more. The children loved it there and I myself that needed a break from the busy life was so happy to just relax and breath in the fresh air. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely go back.

Very friendly family/hosts. On arrival the hot tub was heated & ready for relaxing.🤩 Peaceful, quiet, nature setting with breathtaking views of the valley/waterfall/sunset! Two hiking trails to follow - leading to the waterfall & bush pool. This small farm prides itself on using only renewable energy (solar, batteries & gas) The apartment, adjacent to owners' home, has a cozy woodstove in the main bedroom adding to the romantic setting. On departing, you feel like you are leaving family.

This friendly place is is an excellent Karoo farm stay. We stayed in a spacious unit with a large living room, abundant firewood, excellent hot water, great view, mountain walks, and 2 bedrooms each with 8 bunk beds and en suite bathroom.

The whole experience was great from start to end. Louis and his family made us feel at home. The farm has beautiful views and trails leading to a swimming pool and waterfall. The area itself hosts many things to do,we loved the ostrich farm and cango wildlife centre. This is a must do for anyone craving a getaway from the the city.

A little more solar lighting at night time would be appropriated, but luckily we had some rechargeables.

The family was so welcoming! The unit was nice and cosy, almost cabin like inside. It runs completely off solar electricity and gas appliances. There is a convenient braai area on the stoep and another fire pit further from the door. An amazing view from the kitchen of the spectacular waterfall. We used our own quadbikes to get as near as possible to the hiking trail. The trail is about 40min if you know where you are going! Dont worry because all you have to do is follow the white dots on the rocks and it will lead you to a breathtaking waterfall. NOT recommended for a couple. Dangerous reptiles and loose rocks on the trail. I never got tired of the view! At sunset ,you can enjoy the orange skies and sun tucking in behind the mountain from the little patio. The bed was so comfortable after a long stay of strenuous activities and a good meal. Thank you to our host! I definitely reccomend.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts was well beyond my expectations. My family enjoyed being there and out in nature to the utmost. The hike to the pool and the waterfalls are well worth the effort. We loved the interaction we had with the farm animals as well, had a nice conversation going with the sheep at a point in time 😄. On the morning of our departure a mother goose introduced her new batch of chicks to the world. That just crowned everything off. Thank you to our hosts for being amazing. I only have superlatives for the entire experience.

No complaints. The back packers is a good spot to base yourself in the area to explore. Very rustic surrounds but inside the place its comfortable and well equipped. Luckily we did not have to share it
