While they have a lot of kids equipment, some of it has definitely seen better days and is in need of TLC

The place is the best I've found for a stay with kids under the age of 10! The place has oodles of jungle gyms and kid obstacle course equipment, tractor rides, donkey cart rides (fun but fast!), and friendly farm animals including a curious fluffy sheep. The cottage we stayed in (Lavender) was very spacious and clean. Johannes was very welcoming and helpful during our stay

The double bed was uncomfortable - not a proper double bed mattress. No extra blankets, which is strange for winter time. Interesting that mugs weren't microwave safe.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Going out of their way to assist and help. Beautiful setting. Peace and quiet.

The farm shop was closed, would have been nice to access necessities without leaving the farm.

The place was quiet and serene... enjoyed the fireplace as it was cold.

There was no farm shop as advertised, or tractor rides, no electric blankets, and the maze and labyrinth weren't well maintained.

Huge spacious cottage, was beautiful and had everything we needed to stay comfortably

There is no wifi and the cellphone reception is poor, perhaps if they could add wifi that makes it wonderful.

The location is great, especially for hiking.

We liked everything about the place. The 17km of gravel road to the farm road was a bit rough on my little car, it is fine for bigger vehicles

Loved all the farm animals wandering around the bungalow, especially Meme the sheep who thinks she is a dog. The bungalow was lovely, comfortable and well equipped. The owners' family were so friendly and helpful. A wonderful place for children.

Hope our weekend stay was not rained out. Restless of travelling on the unpaved farm roads. NOTE: Not a negative on the property. Was unable to enjoy the farm rides due to rainy weather.

Stunning, Beautiful countryside farmstead. Cleanliness was exceptional. Loved our very spacious cottage. Parking was situated at the cottage entrance and made for ease for all our unpacking.A very secured cottage. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Viewing of the Farm animals was really enjoyable.Walks in nature was super awesome. Peace, quiet and tranquility.

My husband and three sons got stung while playing outside and near the swings too. The wasps would also come into our rooms. You can imagine the fear my kids had after their prior terrible experience. Please take care to remove the wasp nests near bungalows or warn guests beforehand so they can bring their own pesticides.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the farm. We were able to get some needed rest. The kids enjoyed themselves amidst the bad start to the trip. Lastly, we thank Johannes for always being available to assist us during our stay. We truly appreciate his services.

Being told I was bridging the rules and making unnecessary noise. I was actually irritated by the statement as we had no music and we were not singing. And for anyone to assume 10 people must not speak to each other in the swimming pool area because one of the big clients was threatening to leave was a turn off for me personally and it felt like a racist attack. I know I will never go back there again for sure because my whole mood was spoilt.

Facilities, space, beds, environment. Johannes was amazing, such a gentle man. I loved the hot water.

Little Piece of Heaven that needs a upgrade
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Bungalow
    • Stayed 2 nights

The property is in dire need of a upgrade, I understand times have been tough especially for the tourism industry, but nothing that is advertised on offer is actually on offer. The staff were helpful to let my little one help feed the animals but no horse/pony/donkey/tractor rides available. Our initial dwelling we were meant to stay in had no hot water and we are very grateful that we were upgraded to a massive dwelling, but again a few things weren't working, no outside lighting, no gas for the gas heater, many lights weren't working inside, some electric blankets weren't working. They advertise for a massage, breakfast, fresh bread or scones etc but no one is available to order these things from. There is a sign for a farm shop but when asking if its open we were told it hasn't been open in a while. It was really sad to see as we would have loved to support this property more. We feel like this is a little untapped piece of heaven.

The Idea behind this type of accommodation really is fantastic, its exactly what a family with kids needs and wants, the animal interaction is completely priceless. The idea behind the accommodation is set up really well.
