Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Tables and floor of the restaurant in the morning are still sticky from the booze spilled the night before. Rooms are also not the greatest; if you look under your bed, you may find items left by former guests. Fortunately, in our case, these were only half-liter plastic cups. You also won't be able to have any silence in your room because the music can be heard inside, and if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.
This hotel is located in the heart of Jozi nightlife. Look no further if you enjoy amapiano - this is the destination for you! The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are attractively designed. Couples will enjoy the semi-transparent shower wall and decorative lighting in the double room, which creates a somewhat romantic atmosphere. We appreciated the fact that the Bannister lobby doubles as a bar and restaurant. They serve fantastic breakfasts, and you'll be amazed how the venue calms down and takes on a completely different vibe in the morning after being full of partying the night before. The staff is quite friendly and helpful, especially Geraldino. We loved our stay here.

GermanyThe area is quite noisy and our room was a bit small and had only the bare necessities. My parent's room on the opposite side of the floor was much bigger in size and with windows to the back, so the noise was way less there.
The staff was really amazing and extremely friendly, caring and kind! We felt so well looked after and taken care of, there is nothing else to say. Thank you so much for everyone, who cared for us and made us feel welcome!

South AfricaThe bathroom smelled of urine and the floors have stains, I am sure that could be improved on. The seems to be poor maintenance of rooms as the shower did not dispense water properly causing a mess on the bathroom floor and a few fittings in the room were loose or broken. The study table was not big enough for someone travelling for work.
The room was spacious, the breakfast was as expected, and based on the location the noise levels are expected. The staff was friendly. The wifi connectivity was okay.
