Unfortunately the linen was below standard. Pillows were old and cases were badly stained. But otherwise it was clean.

All good!

The location was good, although it is a bit out of Calitzdorp if you want to walk. Nicely decorated rooms, each with its own bathroom/shower. Very neatly kept accommodation and comfortable as well. The communal kitchen worked well for us as we were the only people (group of 8) staying there, but sharing the smallish fridge could become a problem if more people use it. Very friendly host welcomed us!

The shower drain was slightly clogged so water didn't drain as fast. The room also had bugs but nothing too hectic.

The room we booked was spacious and the guest house had beautiful facilities like the pool/braai area. I also liked that they had a huge communal living area. Our car was also safely secured behind a locked gate.

A few bowls and small plates in the kitchenette would have been nice.

Great location, we loved the communal kitchen area AND having our own mini kitchenette in our rooms. Our children felt 100% welcome and the family room was great for a family with young kids. Communication from the host was exceptional. Great value for money.

We enjoyed our stay. This accommodation is correctly priced, with quiet surroundings and everything you need for self-catering in the spacious common area with its big lounge. The rooms are well equipped, and the microwave oven in the little kitchen area came in very handy.

Our room faced onto the road so.you couldn't really open the curtains and there was only a mobile aircon that didn't work very well. But very small issues compared to the fantastic overall experience.

Beautifully decorated and excellent facilities (communal kitchen, lounge, pool etc). Room are comfortable and well equipped. Host is fabulous. Location is good...off the main road but walking distance to most things. Will always be my first choice in Calitzdorp.

Small bathroom and zircon a bit noisy.

The manageress was very friendly and welcoming. A good overnight stop and very good value for money. Lovely communal area to have dinner or watch TV. Comfortable bed.

Everything was good. But the walls are so thin that you can hear everything in the next room. The floor boards are loose, our neighbour was walking about and making noises all night, so we didn’t sleep well.

The Calitz is a well run and friendly property. Angela was particularly welcoming and helpful in all respects.

Service road, and secure parking. The town itself is in a shocking state. For a town that is wellknown for the "fruit basket", we could not find any fruit of any quality. Very irritating vagrants everywhere.

The Calitz is a good stopover when travelling from Cape Town to the Wilderness. The hostess is a lovely woman, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included, but there are nice braai facilities. We found the service road and parking at the Calitz not up to standard as its a dirt road with potholes, difficult to negotiate. The town itself has deteriorated since our last trip, and the grocery store very under par.

Shower floor very slippery. Suggest a non slip mat. Sheets although clean, had stains on them.

It was not within walking distance of town centre.

The room was beautifully decorated in a modern style. The bathroom was spacious with a good shower and the bed was comfortable. There was lovely outdoor seating, a plunge pool and a communal lounge.
