The Cove is a fabulous place to stay! My friends and I had a bit of a reunion/holiday and The Cove was perfect for us. Joan met us on arrival, told us everything we needed to know, and made us feel quite at home. The house was so beautiful, and the view was so stunning that we thought we might never leave the room! But we did see the sights, and The Cove is in a great location from which to see the sights of Cape Town. I will definitely be back!

The barbecue facility wasn't working at all as we were expecting from what we've read on site. However, the flat has a big stove in the kitchen that made it okay for us.

The flat is spacious and airy, with sea view, it was really nice. My kids enjoyed it. The location is just a few minutes' walk to the beach.

Close to the beach, the penguins at boulders, the wineries at Constantia and the cape of good Hope. Nice and quite location but close to all the sights.

We were a party of 11 and so booked the 2 apartments. This worked well. Very roomy and nicely laid out. The rooms were very nice but not luxurious. certainly perfect for a beach holiday. The owners were very accommodating. The stairs were quite steep but there was a funicular for luggage.

security was worrying - only one front door lock worked. one bedroom window couldn’t close. we weren’t warned about the fact that loads of people walked past down the side of the property. kitchen - water filter was mouldy, ants on work surfaces when we arrived, cutlery drawer was really dirty, one of the drawers was broken. Twin beds extremely uncomfortable.

The location and views were splendid. the apartment is fully fitted with everything one needs and it was clean and comfortable.

It was self catering. Location was stunning!! Would go there again. Host were extremely accommodating as we had to change our dates without any extra cost!!

The house was tired and needed sprucing up. The paint was peeling off walls/ceiling in places, the bath plug leaked and there was a lack of bins in bathrooms. There was a mix of cooking utensils in the kitchen, some that should be thrown out because they are so old. There was a blind on the one window where the sun shone in the morning. A further blind would be good for the other window as it is too bright. We were asked not to open certain windows as they would fall off. We were told that there would be a refurbishment later that year. We had a car rental, but the house's garage was being rented out to someone else for a couple of weeks and we had to park just off the street which was difficult to get to as the person renting the garage parked in front of the garage, not in it- one of our hubcaps was stolen.

Beautiful view of Fish Hoek. There was an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room that could cater for a large number of people. The house has an impressive history.

Not 1 matching wine glass. No champagne glasses. This was quite disappointing , given the standard of the rest of the accommodation.

Spectacular view over False Bay, framed by mountains; a great setting opposite Jager's Walk . Could use the garage for the rented car, which was great.

The upstairs and mid floor apartments are not adequately insulated from one another from a sound proofing and security perspective. The 6 of us were on the mid floor apartment and we did have disturbed sleep due to noise from the upstairs guests. The apartment is also generally quite tired and in need of some preventative maintenance (such as toilets, windows, and doors).

It is spacious and well equipped with a good view and central location.
