The menu of the restaurant could do with a bit more variety, e.g chicken schnitzel could be added for those that want to reduce on meat dishes. Although staff and chef were very accommodating in making some changes to the set menu.

Stayed two nights in the Edge Mountain retreat whilst in Hogsback. Well worth the scary road journey-puts the term potholes into context! You don't need a 4x4 but careful driving. The spacious cottage provided an amazing view over the valley and the road we have driven up to Hogsback. Found friendly and generous people at the Edge, as well as in this beautiful village. We surely will visit again, this time with a more appropriate vehicle.

There are no nets around the bed, considering there are a lot a mosquitos and bugs.

This property is amazing! So serene and calm. It’s nice to get away from the city. The viewpoint they have is out of this world, spent hours in silence there. There is a restaurant where you can get food, the staff was really friendly

As much as we love The Edge, our friends found a much bigger place for a similar price, Im not sure the tiny cottages although quaint are worth what they are charging for them when there is so much choice in Hogsback. The fire place smoked us out on our last night, we did report it on the 2nd day but I think they are just old. We had to open the door and windows so that we could breath and it was a cold evening. Absolutely NO wifi in our place.

The location of the little studio cottage is beautiful in well maintained gardens. The staff were all very friendly. The restaurant was our favourite spot for meals etc during our 5 night stay and the fresh Ciabatta is fantastic.

Liked everything, but gardening with weed eaters close to the bungalow at times of resting after lunch was not pleasant.

The peaceful location, the beautiful gardens and flowers, the position of the facility, with open balcony so close to the mountain edge. The restaurant, atmosphere and log fire on chilly nights.

The location of accommodation is the best, with beautiful views over the edge and the Parkrun is taking place walking distance from your cottage. Thank you so much for beautiful, quiet, clean and safe accommodation. The sunrise, sunsets and stars at this site is precious. Will definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for accommodation in Hogsback. The outdoor shower and bath is amazing , we could enjoy champagne for our anniversary in the outdoor bath with sunset .

Loved our chalet. It is beautifully decorated, very spacious and it comes with: a dining room, kitchen lounge, big fireplace, comfortable big bed and bathroom with bath and shower and double basins. Plus outdoor eating and braai facilities, sun loungers and outdoor bath and shower with the most incredible views. We look forward to coming back soon!

We stayed in Cliffside and Heavens Above. Wow. Both have unbelievable views, HA is literally right on the edge. My daughter took an outdoor shower with Rock Hyrax watching her! Both amazing. Stay here everyone!

Wi-fi was a bit of an issue but nothing that cannot be overcome.

Located just outside of Hogsback, the location was perfect and even more so, the view. The staff were very friendly and the food was good quality. The market was a pleasant surprise at the lodge.

Location, rooms and service all fantastic. Had my best breakfast there- chicken livers. Also had my worst- the salmon on spinach and rosti. It was way too rich, felt nauseas. But overall a great stay
