In the honeymoon sweet or whatever it was called the shower room is huuuuuge and opens into the bedroom which left a slight damp smell, otherwise great!!!

Lovely place to stay, bar area is great as is pool and the restaurant attached was nice. Also a friendly cat we got to hang out with, bonus!

Not much really- ours was a one night stay so there was little time to find fault, and little to find fault with.

Excellent rooms, spacious, with lovely big bathrooms. we'd asked for ground floor rooms because ewe had an older relative with us- all sorted no problem at all. Pool was lovely and towels etc all spotless. View over Langebaan lagoon as the sun set was splendid. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel could use a little upgrade. For example the carpet was a little old and had stains.

Definitely exceeded our expectations! This was the most charming hotel with the best staff. The view is amazing and there’s a cute bar with outdoor seating. Also the restaurant next door is so good! Breakfast was 10/10.

Our room did not have air conditioning as we were led to believe when booking on booking.com. Wooden window frames noisy at night but there were wedges to combat this. On site restaurant menu limited to only a few meals including a "raw meat" dish. Restaurant pricy.

Checking in was easy. Room was spacious. We initially had a limited sea view room, but the hotel moved us to a better viewed room. Breakfast served timeous. Scones and tea/coffee served between 16H00 - 17H00 inclusive.

Room had a lovely feel to it, also being adjacent to the pool area and had a great view from the stoop of the sunset. All staff amazing and food exceptional through the day. Massage was excellent as well!

The breakfasts was amazing as well as the stuff super friendly. We had a problem with our child seat (in our rental car) and they fixed it with their tools. Thanks for this wonderful time.

Lack of packing space - tiny cupboard with 5 hangers for 2 people - as there is also only one small drawer to pack, one would need to hang more clothes. The small drawer required stacking your clothes so forever scratching around to find what you need. No place for shoes (maybe 1 pair each). No aircon and restricted options to open windows as they require quite an effort to get open and no security - considering the staff go home early evening and thereafter there is nobody on duty, nor is one provided on check in with this information or an emergency number, also did not see a security guard on duty or at the gate - on one night, a guest could not remember the pin to enter the premises and it became quite an issue, and noise as they tried to attract the attention of what they thought would be somebody on duty, as guests we stood up in our pajamas and went to assist them as we knew they were guests. With no supervision, it increases the risk and safety of guests. With loadshedding the fan does not work and with limited air-circulation, opening up windows knowing there is nobody supervising the premises can be a risk.

Excellent breakfast, great choices to match all tastes, great coffee choices also. Friendly staff and professional service. Loved the freshly baked scones and tea served on the patio with a view worth a visit on its own! Nice large bedroom, kingsize bed, quality linen and very clean. Very friendly welcome on arrival and assistance was provided, facilities are very clean throughout the hotel and request were responded to immediately.

All in all, the hotel needs bits of renovation. It was a lovely stay but good to be aware of the following aspects: - No possibility to order food in the hotel. When we arrived the restaurant next to the hotel (independent of hotel) was already fully booked for lunch and dinner. Would be good to be aware of or make a reservation upfront. - The hotel overall is very outdated, we stayed in the garden room which was a nice room however not very clean/fresh (damp smell, stains in sheets etc). - We were offered a massage for a reduced price, hoever when we wanted to book the massage lady was off for two days so it wasn’t possible to make use of the promotion.

Nice views, kind personnal, do not expect a lot of luxury.

It’s worth booking a superior room for the aircon if you’re staying in the summer months

You must book in advance for the hotel restaurant. We were not made aware of this until we arrived and it was already fully booked for the two nights we were there so we did not get to try it. Some of the rooms need upgrading. The room we had initially had a very musty, mouldy smell to it (although we did not see any mould). I would not like to have slept in there. We were able to be moved to another smaller room.

The staff are friendly and helpful, service was excellent. The hotel has comfortable communal areas to enjoy with lovely gardens and beautiful views. The rooms are charming, although it seems a while since any refurbishment has been done.

- location and views are awesome - the breakfast is outstanding - the dinner by Petite Maison is absolutely great, but it’s independent so make sure to reserve via Dineplan in advance - staff is very nice in general

The Farmhouse Hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was out of a magazine, gorgeous. The views and sunset are breathtaking.
