I did not like that the cottage was not fenced and the pets could access the cottage at any time.

I liked the location of the cottages. Everything is a few minutes drive away, & the views are great.

The Goodland Cottages is a fantastic place to stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated, making it cozy and welcoming, with super comfortable beds. You'll find chickens and the owner's dog nearby, adding a charming touch. There's also a small pool for cooling off on hot days. The area around the cottage is lush and green, offering stunning mountain views. In the evenings, sitting around the fire pit makes for a perfect end to the day. Plus, there are lots of activities to do in the area. Overall, The Goodland Cottages provide a peaceful and enjoyable escape, perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature.

From the complimentary farm eggs, to the very warm welcome, to the extremely well kitted out kitchen and spotlessly clean cottage (even an air fryer is supplied), to the magnificent views, this is literally a piece of paradise. This is the second time we have stayed here and we will definitely be back.

The location in Champagne valley was perfect. All the finishes were lovely and modern, the record player a cool touch. Braai and outdoor area were lovely. The thunderstorm was spectacular!

Would be nice to have a baggage table to put your bag on. It's uncomfortable to work through your bag at floor level. Some fresh milk for the first day would also be nice so that it helps you on your arrival day whereafter you can go buy your own milk the next day. Just a suggestion.

Lovely gardens. Kitchen had all crockery and utensils needed and more. Coffee and Tea provided for first day. Comfortable beds. Can definately recommend this for a long relaxing and comfortable stay. Very quiet environment. Loved it.

There was no aircon. The drakensburg is very hot during summer and the room itself was very hot, so it was quite a struggle without aircon.

Lovely decor, comfortable room with backup inverter for the TV and lights during loadshedding and very friendly owners and staff.

The roads to get there from the main road (no fault of the owners) are not in the best state. Drive carefully. The hot water from the shower can be temperamental, but didn't really affect us.

Everything! All the modern comforts in a peaceful natural setting. The location has the best of both worlds - a feeling of being isolated while still being close to restaurants and attractions. Thanks to the solar inverters, we remained unaffected by loadshedding. Fully equipped kitchen if you need it. Spacious and designed for relaxation. Wish I could have stayed longer!

We stayed in Milk Cottage and felt it was the best accommodation of our 3 week holiday in Kwazulu-Natal. The cottage was spacious but cosy and had a brilliantly equipped kitchen. One of the best features was its outdoor space - various places to sit and enjoy the good weather in a private space away from the hosts family home. We really enjoyed spending time in the dining/lounge area and the cottage has a great fireplace. It’s also in a brilliant location for exploring central Drakensburg.

The property was amazing that it was ready to make us comfortable even through loadshedding , we could stay warm by the fireplace , still make tea and cook something on the gas stove , whilst all the rechargeable lights were on and even play music on the turntable that needs no electricity. The bed was amazing , overall great value for money

Nothing really, the place has all you need to stay indoors the entire weekend.

The place is as in the pictures, Maryke is wonderful and soo helpful.The place has all necessary appliances even an air fryer which came in very handy. There is plenty lighting during load shedding and plenty heating facilities for cold nights(electric blanket, heaters and extra blankets.

If nitpicking the warm water (taps&shower) in chalet one was a bit hit-and-miss, but that seems to be a temporary issue with just one chalet.

Clean and fully equiped chalets, pretty setting with views of mountain range. Maryke is an excellent host, just the right info on the area.

The shower in the bath is not the best but because the other room had a good shower, it did not detract from the experience too much.

The location and the Milk Cottage is absolutely. The added extras such as the Nespresso machine, basics in the kitchen added to making it a pleasant experience.

It’s a home away from home with a stunning view. The cottage is very well equipped and lovely decorated. Everything was so thoughtful, there’s the portable lights for the hours during loadshedding and the kitchen has everything you need for a nice home cooked meal. The splash pool is refreshing after hiking in Monks Cowl.
